I may have missed it, but I didn't really see too much discussion today regarding him moving from the booth to the field and Hall moving to the booth. Anyone have any insight into why? TIA

the game and crop dusted the booth. He was kindly asked to leave.
Hall does not partake of cruciferous vegetables on game day.

Probably right. We'll have to wait until down the road to likely know the meaning or significance.

Where he needs to move to is the unemployment line. Complete waste of a coaching slot.

If you do not know what he does why would you say it’s a waste of a coaching spot. He could be one of the hardest working guys on the staff for all anyone knows on this site seeing we are not privy to what goes on behind the scenes.

Despite being a co-DC, he almost never gets mentioned - not even by our own fans.
He rarely seems to be interviewed. Dabo doesn’t say much about him. I’m not even clear on what he does.

Well, he is listed as co-defensive coordinator just like WG. But WG coaches the LB and Conn safeties. Other than that, not sure what the difference is. But, I still find it odd DS moved him out of the box and onto the field. That change wouldn't be made for kicks and giggles, so I assume it was done for a reason...

Conn is the "Ghost Coordinator" and is getting more and more work as the the Ghosting between coaches and players is on the rise. Cade ghosted Dabo on National TV to great acclaim and then last week Beau Beau totally ignored his well deserved lambasting by Dabo after the abbreviated dash to the 10 yard line, so it seems to me the Ghost Coordinator is doing an excellent job as ghosting is coming along nicely!

My concern is as much with Hall and his recognition abilities. In the box it seems you have to be able to diagnose and make changes for all levels of the defense. To my knowledge is limited experience is with defensive ends.

I would think sitting in a booth with an aerial view would make that easier than on the field, no?

Wished Wes would move to the box. If he's the cerebral type (ala Tony Elliot who preferred the box) seems he would be better served to be in the box. He doesn't bring a lot of fire to the sidelines either.

Keep in mind, there is free food "in the box" for the coaches who slave dutifully in there for three hours. You sure you want Pork Chop in the same enclosed area with unlimited hot dogs and pizza for that length of time?

I understand this change took place for the CSU game. I like it if this allows CWG to focus more on the field and the input from the booth. Allow Conn to interact with the players on correcting errors. Assuming his HS head coaching background included knowing how to chew out players when its warranted. My guess is that Wes has way less experience at getting that part of coaching accomplished as needed.
