Made a bet with a gamecock buddy this week

He bet me a steak dinner that they will win at least 7 of 10,(not counting the UMass and Western Carolina) games this fall. I jumped on it. What do you think, did I make a safe bet?

First of all, there is no such thing as a "gamecock buddy". Second of all, your bet is safe, Im predicting 4 wins total and Im sticking to it.

They will be lucky to get to 7 with western Carolina and umass haha. He must of had some liquid courage. Hope you got this bet in writing.

bad they are and not how good the teams they play are ? Outside of Clemson,maybe Florida and maybe Tennessee ,everyone else they play have problems.

There's no way they win more than 6 games all year. No way. If they win 6
they should be proud, and I don't mean that as a knock on them. As bad as they were last year, 6 wins would be a major improvement. You sir, are getting a free steak dinner. Congrats.

Well - looking at their schedule, you might have made a bad bet. They have 3 teams on their schedule that will probably beat them (UF, UGA, and CLEMSON). UGA is probably a toss-up, along with UT. They will probably beat all of those weak teams. They just don't really play anyone that is going to be ranked in the Top 25 except CLEMSON. Think about that.
If CLEMSON played their schedule, then we'd be headed for the NCG again, except we'd have to play CLEMSON, and that's a tough out.

The way I see it.
Wins:
East Carolina, Vandy, Western Carolina, UMass
Losses:
UGA, Florida, Tennessee, Missouri, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Kentucky and Clemson.
4-8
They MIGHT beat Missouri OR Kentucky, but not likely. The coots are just not good.
