Jacob is working on a “Clean Card”, 5 Under Round through 16 Holes . . . He is currently T-7th Place!!!

“Messed” the Bed on Hole #8 . . . But rallied by birdying his final two Holes . . . it appeared he was content to take the half million guaranteed prize money and call it a weekend . . .

MyfavOrange ‘s Weekly Pick, Scottie Scheffler, also struggled . . . Hopefully better days are ahead of each of them!!!

Lucas had a bad day driving and scrambled most of the day. Well said about 8... but he put a lot of pressure on his putting. Not his game. Thought he might roll in the eagle on 18. He either lined up wrong and misread the putt. He was reading it to fall right but he rammed it too hard to take any little break there was. Missed 3 putts the same way. Good thing is, he has 3 more rounds to right the ship. Really think if he rallies and finish top 5 he gets a Ryder cup invite... because to do that, he'll have to fire 3 rounds in the 60s. One being a mid 60s.

Looking like Sam will need a career round. He helped his cause going birdie birdie. Still at +1, he's got to find magic.

Bryson will be home for the weekend. He's struggling. Not sure if it's an injury or something personal. Can't remember when he last made a cut.

Jacob had a nice clean card 66 (-5) especially given the fact he struggled with his driving too. 35% fairway hit. The course is easy so he could still hit greens... Hopefully that contributed to his putting 1.75 strokes per green. But he's been struggling with that a few weeks. The course set-up was essentially 5 layups. Easy par 5's, short, and 2 drivable par 4s. Jacob missed on two of them. He just needs to duplicate it tomorrow. Cut will open at -4. Crazy low scores. By the time he tee's off tomorrow, he'll most likely be 1-2 strokes behind the cut.
