Thanks skeeta56. Saw where she shot a nice round. Didn't catch they were in the same pairing. Am I remembering it correctly that Ivy went there for the grad degree which Clemson doesn't offer. Not sure. Don't know how much pt she was going to get.

Correct . . . I don’t know about “playing time” . . . But . . . We could have used her 2 under yesterday!!!
For whatever reason she departed, I’m sure seeing old teammates and friends will be a welcomed sight on both sides!!!
We’ll get better rounds out of Savannah and Annabelle today . . . probably not quit as much production out of Melena . . . leaving Chloe or Isabella to shoot a solid round . . . We will be in the mix when today’s rounds are in the books.
Don’t get me wrong . . . We don’t have the horses to run with Stanford and U of So Cal . . . but we can stand tall with all the others!!!

Our Gals have started well . . . Annabelle with back-to-back birdies and Savannah starts with a birdie . . . as does Chloe and Melena . . . while Isabella has 3 consecutive Pars and a bogey . . .
I couldn’t ask for any better . . . now let’s sustain and build on our progress!!!

as Annabelle has birdied the first of the Par 5 pair . . . we really need to capitalize as we close our first 9 (the back) . . . we lost ground here to the Field yesterday . . .
We are playing much steadier and appear more focused today . . . May it continue for the entire Round!!!

We have finished our first 9 (the back) . . . It has 3 Par 5s on it . . .
Here’s how we played them as a Team:
Hole #10, 530 yards = 4 under Par
Hole #17, 509 yards = 2 under Par
Hole #18, 495 yards = 5 OVER Par!!!!!!!
We have just thrown away an entire morning’s work on one hole . . . We are currently T-5th Place . . . 2 Shots behind 4th and 4 Shots behind 3rd . . .
Time to tighten up and refocus!!!

And the 2 teams in front are turning to the easy 9 and we're turning into the hard 9. Cannot get over how well unranked Sacramento is doing. I'd take their front 9 today in a skinny minute. Sacramento st has yet to card a double bogey in the tournament. Keep thinking with the rankings that either Sacramento st or Texas tech have to cool... we have really got to dig deep and have a front 9 like no other. Yesterday hurt us but that darn 18... grewal just hasn't come through like she's capable. She's left a lot of birdies on the table. And Melena, ghee whiz, bogey bogey. Seriously?
I think we're now the only team without an eagle.

I know. We all want it so so much... but none more than them. We've already made history with the acc's. And to my surprise, Melena made history for Clemson women's golf yesterday. Thought for sure Alice or valades or Alex would have shot that before.
Just almost too nervous to even look at it. Not sure how I'll withstand tomorrow... lol

What is up with pancake and grewal on the par 3's and 5's. Ghesh. Those two girls from Sacramento, one's -5 and tge other -4. We're talking an unranked team catching lightning. Then again, they're probably used to the weather and courses like this one. Really thought pancake and grewal were headed for a day like those two.

Yep. They have really benefitted from our changing golf landscape and the Asian explosion. They gravitate towards a tech degree. So come to Stanford on a golf scholly. And of course, tiger doesn't hurt them either. Lol.

There it is... that patented tip of the cap !!!!!!!
What can you say, made the turn and had to be sick to their stomach after 17 and 18, but they dug deep and crushed even Stanford on the front 9 at -7 (counters) for us to-4 by Stanford and Texas tech was tge closest @ -5.
Gosh, what could have been yesterday and today. As skeeta56 laid out above. We're in 9th out of 12 in par 5 scoring. Still one of a couple teams without an eagle. Chloé is usually good for one per tournament. We're just saving ours for tomorrow. Hope so.
