I think we thought too much of this basketball team. They are simply not as good as we thought. The number 1 weakness is perimeter defense. We just are not very good at it. We also are not a very good shooting team. We thought they were and it just isn’t the case. We are a bubble NCAA NIT team like we are every year. That’s just who we are. I’m not sure these things can be fixed.

I'd be very surprised if the shooting doesn't rebound before too long. Seems too far down from what it was to not be part of a cold streak.

The perimeter defense is more of a concern because defense isn't really streaky as much as shooting is.
