Last prayer request until after surgery

If everyone remembers, I have asked for prayer regarding my back pain a couple of times. I'm having my 3rd back surgery next Tuesday the 12th. Surgery will last about 4 hours with two surgeons doing the operation. I should be in the hospital 2-4 days and possibly in a rehab facility for a few days after that. I'm ready to get this over with because recovery is very, very hard. They are removing my original hardware from 2008 and extending the fusion up to L4 as well. So I will have a L4-S1 fusion. Please remember me as much as possible when you pray. I've been out of work for 3 weeks and will be out at least until December 26th. The next time I watch our tigers will be from a hospital bed next Thursday night. That realization just hit me yesterday.

Prayer is a powerful thing. This time last year my wife (47 years old at the time) and I were preparing for her open heart surgery at Duke Medical. She was born with heart defect called Ebsteins Anomaly. She was in surgery for ~ 7 hours and had her tricuspid valve replaced. She had some minor complications and we spent the next two weeks in the hospital. I'm happy to say she has made a full recovery and is doing great. Trust in God and he will sustain you through good and bad. I'm sure things will be just fine and you will be watching the Tigers pound the Jackets next Thursday night. Best wishes to you and your family for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. I will say a special prayer for you tonight. Gob Bless !!

I was hoping to go to the GT game but I'm now scheduled for eye surgery next Thursday (11/14) in Greenville. Not sure if my sight will be 100% but I'm hoping to at least be alert enough to listen to the game Thursday night!
If I am, I'll be cheering right along with you for our Tigers, as we recover! God is faithful - He's got us! GO TIGERS!!
