FULL VOTING MEMBER ??????

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The only way that makes sense is if the league's going to 18

full members and ND is would be joining in football along with Cal, Stanford and SMU.

If so, then obviously they are going to have a ton of say.

If not, then it would be absolutely asinine for them to have any say whatsoever.

We’re talking ACC here, of course it’s going to be asinine.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

no... LW is saying they are currently a full voting member

Aug 9, 2023, 5:28 PM [ in reply to The only way that makes sense is if the league's going to 18 ]

with their status in the conference as it stands now

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We shall see. Do you have a link to something saying they

Aug 9, 2023, 6:52 PM

Have been a full voting rights member? Larry seems to be a bit surprised by it and he covers this stuff for a living. I’m just wondering if ND is saying that they will join if they have a full vote on other joining orgs.

But, with all the other crazy stuff we do, you’re probably right.

Unreal ateam that doesn’t want to fully commit to a conference…

So they are in favor of the ACC member schools supporting a long time rival financially.

...As long as they aren't asked to pay anything out of their own pocket. Very "generous" of them.

The fact that Notre Dame can have voting power to allow these schools in at this time is absolute bull ####.

The ACC is despicable and I’m sick to my stomach that we’re stuck with these sons of ####### until 2036. Enjoy Clemson Football while you can because it will be relegated to Sun Belt status by the time we get out of this conference.

Talk about having your cake and eating it too. Better enjoy this year boys. Clemson is headed for 1-AA status if they can’t get out of this ghetto conference. Furman level. This is pathetic

ND was a full member only in the covid year

Aug 9, 2023, 5:48 PM

Not now…

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

part time in football - but a full voting member***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Crazy! They want us to spend

Aug 9, 2023, 6:15 PM

Our money on them but they don’t have to…. Some BS that is.

What’s crazy is the ACC will be like heck yeah! We’d love to do that for you. 🙄 The ACC had ND summ the covid year and let us slip right through their hands. Despicable

Re: Larry Williams...

Aug 9, 2023, 6:58 PM

ND brings in more revenue than several full members so why should they not get a vote?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Larry Williams...

Aug 9, 2023, 7:39 PM

Because they are not ALL IN. They conveniently show up to put in their 2 cents when Stanford and Cal could be brought into the conference to help their schedule. ND is an ACC member whenever it’s convenient for ND.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Because they have their own TV contract and share none of the revenue.***
