Kirby criticized opt outs in post game presser

And said people need to figure it out because it was unfair to FSU and the kids that opted to play to be thrown out there. He said, “It absolutely altered the outcome of the game.”
Almost like… Dabo knew a thing or two three years ago…

Need more to say it if anything is going to change… maybe they’ll listen to Dabo for once and “let football people make the decisions about football.”

FSU players quit on their team. Not Kirby's problem. People upset about the score should be grateful Kirby didn't put an 80-spot on them. You know as well as I do, he could have.

At half, not sure what more they were supposed to do.
It would have been more disrespectful to take knee or kick FG.

What a wussy phrase. It’s weak to beg for mercy.
It’s the other team’s job to stop you, not for you to stop yourself.
And UGA had tons of backups playing the second half.

He didn't run up the score. FSU wouldn't tackle. They were a complete joke. I can't stand UGA but they could have scored 100 if Kirby wanted

He had his 3rd strong qb in the entire 2nd half… along with several other 2nd and 3rd string guys.

What the #### did you want him to do? Kneel every play? The entire second half was Georgia backups.

Danny Ford played everyone on the roster. It didn't help the score. When backups get a chance, they will take it.

What should he have done just have QB take a knee on each play. FSU had 3rd team guys out there. That’s what you get when you hire mercenaries who cut and run for their own benefit and care nothing for the team. Shows FSU has no (hate this term) culture. It would have been disrespectful to th FSU players that were on the field for UGA to lay down

Respect to Kirby for speaking out. It 100% altered the outcome. UGA probably still wins but not in the lopsided laugher it was. How the “do what’s best for me” guys can look themselves in the mirror after leaving their teammates as lambs to the slaughter is beyond me.

College football is bound and determined to destroy itself. Now a NY 6 bowl game has become a joke with all the opt outs and portal outs. Seriously, folks paid money for tickets to this junk. The public isn’t going accept that much longer. It won’t be long before the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowls are half empty.

Ehhhhhhh, I disagree. Still don’t think FSU would’ve won, but it would’ve been within two scores. Missing 70% of your offensive production certainly impacts a game.

Consider that one of the main reasons that FSU didn't make the playoff was because they were missing one player, their QB. I know the QB is probably the most important player, but if any one player makes that big of a difference, 24 would have to make a drastic difference. I mean, it's literally a different team.
So yes, Kirby is right.

Question: Was it Kirby Smart, the SEC, or the US Supreme Court who ruled colleges and universities could not prohibit players from earnings from name, image, and likeness?

Every coach spoke out about it 3 years ago ago. They were all echoing the same thing, Dabo included. So it's not just Dabo. In fact, I think David shaw was the first one.
The only thing that can be done now is make it just like the NFL with contracts and clauses. There's no way to regulate it, moving dates etc won't do a thing.
