has been promoted to Lexington in the South Atlantic League by the Astros. He will be in Greenville May 2 & 3 when the Legends play the Drive.

is off to a hot start with the High A High Desert Mavericks of the California League. In 16 games, he's hitting .319 (22/69) with 6 doubles, 2 triples, 5 homers, 17 RBI, 12 BB, and 17 K. He leads the team in RBI and doubles and is tied for the lead in homers. He's 3-3 on stolen bases. Granted, the California League is a hitter's league, so big offensive numbers are common. That's why I was surprised when the Rockies sent Kyle Parker out there (he's been on the DL for a week and a half). It favors hitters, much like playing in Asheville did and I don't think he has much to prove by playing another year of A ball. But I don't make those decisions. As an aside, the Mavericks is a team full of ACC guys. Besides Brad, they have Steven Proscia from Virginia, Mickey Wiswall from Boston College, James Gilheeny from NC State and Mike McGee from Florida State.
