Sounds like sour grapes and also like you didn't watch the game. No offense. The kid has ungodly accuracy. I would argue it's the other way around--I know Joe Brady is probably good at what he does, but Burrow helped make him look like a genius. No passing game coordinator could devise a system capable of doing what Burrow did. I can't help but root for the kid now that he's gone.

With Brady now with the Panthers, I can see the Panthers try to trade up to get Burrow, but I hope not.

it took him time to gain traction because he was behind a QB who is now an NFL starter.
And isn't every offense a "system?" Literally every QB is a system QB. It just so happens that the LSU offense is predicated heavily on pre-snap reads by both the QB and receivers as the receiver will adjust his route accordingly and the QB has to be on the same page. It is an offense that will translate well for Burrow making the jump to the NFL.
He also has incredible arm talent, he's quick and can throw well on the run.
If he keeps working hard, avoids injuries and keeps his head on straight I think he will be a good NFL QB.

System QTs don't have his accuracy nor his escapability in the pocket. If he stays healthy I don't see him as a bust.

To me a "system QB" is just some air raid guy that puts up big numbers because he throws the ball 50-60 times a game. Go look at pretty much any Mike Leach QB for examples.
Burrow was playing within a more traditional and more NFL-like passing offense. LSU didn't run the air raid, they didn't use short passes in place of a running game - they had a real running back for that. Burrow set all kinds of NCAA records including completion % and TD passes while also posting an extremely high YPA average meaning he was throwing the ball aggressively down the field, not just dinking and dunking.
He also reads the game extremely well, gets the ball out quick when he needs to, and is very good in the pocket.

Joe Burrow is the best NFL style quarterback I’ve ever seen play the game in college. He’s as close to a lock of being an NFL superstar as can be. He has amazing accuracy, football IQ, mobility, quick release, everything you need to excel in the NFL. His style and abilities mirror that of Aaron Rodgers and Jimmy Garoppolo.

QB that puts the ball on the money pretty much anywhere on the field, reads the game well, and is surprisingly elusive. You don't break all of those NCAA records by accident.
The lazy answer is to say it was all Joe Brady and that Burrow will suck without him, but I just don't think that's true. He looked like a legit prospect to me, not just some product of a system.

BOOM, BIG BOOM. Especially if he goes to Cinci as expected. He was really, really good. Cant take a thing away from #9 on the biggest stage... he should have had one pic 6 from #24 but that went the same way the entire night went, great play and drop the int.... He's great player with exceptional talent.
Hope they have an o-line that can protect him...

I do believe NFL front fours will lick their chops wanting to bust his ash, especially if he has a big mouth. Could end up badly for him. And if he gets drafted by a lousy team, he will probably take his lumps sooner than later. But, no doubt the not so young man is talented.

Russell Wilson is another that is confident to the point of being cocky.

To me he had a confidence light come on this season that should serve him well as he adapts to the NFL. His control on long and short throws was very impressive, and he showed an above average mobility and overall toughness. I think he's a better prospect than the previous two #1 picks in Murray and Mayfield.

The guy can throw the ball whether he's a smug prick or not. He will be fine compared to some of the garbage QB's I see on Sundays. I can't stand the guy or the lack of humility, but I still prefer him over Baker Mayfield.

Joe got to LSU late and competed, played and acted like a LB. Other players loved him.
His insane numbers were done playing in 15 games that included 7 Top Ten teams. Joe had 12 TD passes in his last 4 games, all against Top Four teams. He had over 630 yds vs Clemson w/ 5 TDs throwing.
He ran essentially a pro Offense at LSU.
What must he do to convince people that he can play at the next level?
Who has ever gone into NFL with better credentials?

Get him out of a quick over the middle passing scheme and he is above average but no great.
If he were with Brady - boom Without the system - someone's backup later.
He's a Johnny Manziel or Tim Tebow.

He had a great season, but that was not the norm for his college career. I think it’s fair to say you aren’t as good as your best year, but not as bad as your worst. At OhioSt he didn’t win the starting job, so we never really saw him in action, but last season he was average. My guess is that he gets a franchise QB contract but never lives up to the performance expectations. I do expect him to hang in the NFL because he has the size, mobility, and arm strength to improve any team’s roster.

I think it depends on the team. If he lands in Cincinnati, he will be an avg Qb. If, I was him. I would just hope and pray to fall in the 1st round. Then land on a team where I could sit and learn for a year.
