I have to say, A&M is in danger of becoming another South Carolina. They keep changing coaches every 4 or 5 years.

I don't understand the national narrative of Texas A&M

They haven't been good in 25 years. They have had 2 10 win seasons in 30 years with 1 conference championship (Big 12) in 1998.

They're a long term 8-4 team.

Jimbo - 45-25, ~8-4 average
Sumlin - 51-26, ~8-4 average
Mike Sherman - 25-25, ~6-6 average
Franchione - 32-28, ~6-6 average

These jokers have an eerily similar last 30 years to the Gamecocks. I don't understand the constant hype.

It's a statement of how much $$ they have. ATM and UT Austin are LOADED. It will be interesting to see how those two schools impact the SEC in years to come. $$ can't buy everything, but it can get you darned close, especially if you have reasonably smart people in control. If the Ags find the right coach, look out.

There is a set list of traits that Bjork said he's looking for during the Aggies' search for their next coach. He said it includes someone who has a program identity, great interpersonal skills, a track record of player development, commitment to academics and a strong recruiting background with solid organizational skills.

Sound familiar? We're fortunate to already have that in place.

Here's the full list of coaching attributes that A&M is looking for...

Bjork said he had a profile for A&M’s next coach. The qualities of the candidate will include:

- A program identity
- Great interpersonal skills
- Track record of player development
- Commitment to academics
- Is a recruiting machine
- Supreme organizational skills
- Culture of discipline
- Passion for the game
- Proven winner
- Strong leadership skills
- Involved in the community
- Knowledge of Xs and Os
- Understands and can capitalize on today’s college athletics

That last bullet indicates someone who will maximize the transfer portal and leverage NIL to it's full potential - something Clemson has been reluctant to do.

I really think Texas A&M is looking for someone different than a Clemson kind of guy. Notice "Of the highest moral character and integrity" ain't on their list which opens the door to a whole lot of "win at any cost" types of dirtbags....

I know this was likely tongue in cheek, but look out for this one. They didn't spend $75M to fire a guy to hire Mike Fn Elko. Question is, how much more can clem afford to pay Dabo? Honest question, no flame.

Considering the SEC loves retread coaches, they may pursue Muschamp.

I loved that car to death... never thought of parting wats with it. The thing that took so long to solve was that little 3 to 4 inch plastic elbow pipe that allowed the coolant to pass through or from the engine ....I forget....but that thing kept bursting all the time. So after about 8 new pipes that I went through over the 13 years I had the car.....they finally had tracked down a pipe that was made of aluminum that fit my car. I had no problems with the pressure over time and weather climates to where it would ever burst again.......... until the whole car got destroyed in a 5 car pile up.......but that is another story.

Texas A&M needs an aluminum coach....that fits. However....they ain't Clemson so I hope they don't find what they need.
