I trust Dabo and his hiring evaluations. He has done a fantastic job, and taken coaches to their first National Title : Venables,Scott & Elliot and Line Coaches, & S&C Coaches. He knows what He's looking for in a coach. Doesn't surprise me that He goes to a former Alabama player and Pro Player insight for this position. This guy must know what He's doing to have coached at Idaho St. and in high School, so He's been around. Hope is does well, Venables will play a part in his development as a coach as well under Veteran leadership. Hope He brings a toughness to the Line that makes us compete nationally in this category again for sacks and TFL. Glad to see this hire in place. Hopefully He can recruit as well.

I agree, Dabo usually knows what kind of Coaches to get...like you I trust his judgment. He has a knack for picking good coaches. I'm sure he knew a while back that Hobby was going to retire. He has probably studied the coaches and looked at who would be the best fit at Clemson. Go Tigers!!!

a lot of D-1 experience. But, neither did Chad and that worked out well. Seems like a really good fit.

Dabo has done a great job mining the FCS ranks. His defensive lines at JSU were highly productive. They were the number one seed in the FCS playoffs this year

Yeah, I don't know how much D1 experience is important. Muschamp has tons, and his kids end up blocking themselves somehow.

If you go to the link below you will be impressed. He looks like EXACTLY the kind of person Dabo would hire. He is not only a coach, but a man that wants to assist and mold youth. He seems like a man of character first, and a coach second. Great hire Dabo!

I like this hire. Resume sounds sweet and the fact he has his own camp bodes well. Sounded like he had that before jsu. Young fella too. Obviously can relate to the kids. Sent people to NFL from jsu.
Thanks Dabo and CBV!

Happy about this. I trust Dabo implicitly, and if Dabo knows this guy and says he is good character and can coach, then he is of great character, and he can coach. End of story!
