Still sexy! Always wore fitted uniforms and wouldn’t be caught dead in those frumpy fat guy bowling shirts baseball coaches wear now. Arrogant? Disciplined and proud? Hardheaded? I miss his kind, but I’m maybe old in human years.

we are 17 games in. lots of teams would kill for our record. we have had 1 bad day on the mound. hopefully the bats will chime back in soon. the friday and saturday against northeastern were very good against 2 very good pitchers. last 4 not so good.

Honestly, you have to be kind of slow in the head to not understand that was the worst pre-conference schedule in the last 20 years. It was a weak attempt by a coach who needed wins to protect his job instead of making his team better by playing solid competition

Nailed it. Go ask Danny Ford what happens when you don't do as your bosses ask.

I liked the guy. Think him and DRad didn’t see eye to eye for whatever reason but thought Leggett knew a little more about baseball than DRad but he was the boss. iMO I think he may have taken us as far as he could as a program. He has one hell of a coaching tree when looking at all his stops, but couldn’t beat Carolina and couldn’t win it all. People felt he played too much small ball. That pretty much sums it up.

No one coach is greater than the University snd Jack discovered that as did Danny. SC was winning all the series at the end with Jack. Ray Tanner was the undoing of Jack.

Because we weren’t becoming terrible fast enough. Seriously. Lee has set virtually every possible negative record. Worst season, worst home record, worst loss, worst home loss - and people aren’t just not calling for his firing they still celebrate him.

Pretty much the only folks who couldn’t see the program was tanking the last 4 years were the old guys who popped a ###### pill every time Jack would run by them before the game and give them a thumbs up. It made them feel special.

So your implying that because a bad hire was made , there wasn’t justification to move on from Jack? Coaching hires, historically, end bad. The majority are fired or resign at the end.
The issue is the lack of response by the Athletic Department after Clemson did something last year most thought they’d never see in their life times , have a losing record in baseball. I figured it was a given he would be tossed after that debacle, but he didn’t even receive a strongly worded letter. If attendance is any indicator to fans displeasure with the product, I think many aren’t happy with the direction of the program

There wasn’t a justification to move on in the manner that we did based on the fact that Jack only had a single year left on his contract, had his best class in years incoming, and had brand new facilities that he help fundraiser to open. We burnt all of the programs bridges too …..? I don’t know, you tell me? Could we possibly be in a worse position if Leggett had been given one more season to get it together or step away with dignity? But now, this obviously inferior substitute is afforded more money, patience, and grace than the guy who made 6 CWS?
