Its great that RN has both his parents..

present and very involved in his life, but also sad that they do not trust their son to make his own decision. If its a bad one that clearly leads to a dead end road then I understand their concerns, but thats not the case here.

Why don't you just say that he's "a credit to his race" while you're at it!

Something has to be done about this process.

It is getting too big for high school kids.

Certainly hope Robert is a Clemson Tiger next year but if he goes elsewhere, I hope it works out for him.

Let's keep re-printing the same story over, and over again!

Time to beat the dead horse again...AJC, ESPN, Post & Courier, State, GNEWS, and any other rag that doesn't want him at Clemson!

No surprise there, Gamecocks don't have a game so they

devote more ink space to Clemson (did the same for SC when we have open date). The paper's only problem is they have nothing to report, and if they did they don't haven't had anything that could pass as a journalist since Larry Williams left, so they grabbed an old story, written by someone else, added a picture (taken by someone else) and filled space.

Honestly I liked it better when they just stared the classified ads after 3 pages in the sports section when they had nothing to write about.

This pretty much sounds like every single other article that has come out in the last 2 months. There's nothing to see here, just writers putting too much stock into something Mrs. Nkemdiche said 2 months ago!

That's what's annoying. If News reporters were reporting about something that happened on September 5th they'd be fired. It would be like reporting "BREAKING NEWS: APPLE RELEASES IPHONE 5!!!!" on October 31st., because that was the top story exactly one week after Mrs. Nkemdiche "shocked the world." See what I'm getting at? What else was going on in the first week of September when this story broke? Major League baseball was 30 games from the playoffs and Clemson had just beat Auburn... case closed.

I kinda would like for Mickey Conn to say hey look, you gave them your word, your commitment. They gave you an opportunity to keep looking around. You wanted to commit, now honor it and lets focus on the rest of our high school season and win the state championship.

I want to see Swinney avoid looking like a hypocrite when he tap dances around yanking RN's offer when he visits Oregon and Southern Cal. I'm sure he'll come up with some BS excuse why he doesn't do so. Would I take back the offer? Absolutely not! Then again, would I be stupid enough to take a position in the first place that told recruits they were forbidden to make visits elsewhere after verbally commiting? Nope. Request that they don't? Absolutely. Demand or have the offer retracted? Ascinine! Why? Because what is about to happen with RN is what has always had the potential to happen, making DS look like a two-faced fool in the process.

You're completely misinformed...

Nov 2, 2012, 10:39 AM

Dabo does not tell recruits that they can't visit elsewhere after they commit. However, if they tell him they will be on campus on a given weekend, then go somewhere else that weekend without telling the staff beforehand, then that is ground's for removal of an offer.

THAT is what happened in the Marlin Lane situation. He was supposed to be at Clemson, went to Tennessee without telling anyone, then had his offer revoked.

Get your stories straight before you spew this trash.
