Is Time to start Cade for three game?

I think we could put Cade in run the same offense and win out.
Right now the game is to fast for him. That will change if we give him game reps. Let him make the safe DJ throws. Run the ball and play good D and we win.
No one has tape on him. We can add plays and throws that he likes to make.
He will throw a few int's. But every QB does. It doesn't matter as much now because the CFP is gone. It make no difference if we go to the cheez it bowl or the Gator bowl.
Give Cade game reps and get ready for next year.

Yes but Dabo won't. It's DJs season and possibly next year as well.

Dude Cade was 0-1 with an interception. He couldn’t throw the week before either.

And how well is DJ working out? He’s also thrown interceptions, and is regressing. I believe Cade helped them win against Syracuse, didn’t he? The coaches need to be preparing Cade and making him ready to play, given DJ’s issues.

How many non pre determined throws has the kid been able to get? They gave DJ 2 years and he has shown his ceiling here at Clemson its time to see what you actually got in Cade. DJ got all the early snaps vs the inferior teams and still didn't get better, they gave him the better playmaker in the spring and he got out played by Cade then. The proof has been there all along that DJ is the teams ceiling and Dabo refused to get another guy expierence bc he knew if Cade went in and got significant snaps he'd have a QB controversy and he didn't want another locker room divide like they had with KB and TL.

I wonder how he would have looked if he had been given more time this season? He made a mistake last night but kids need time to develop in actual games, not practice.

I think Dabo will start DJ against Louisville, but plan to give Cade the 3rd or 4th series depending on how DJ and the team looks. By preparing to do it this way it will take some of the blame of DJ if/when Cade has to go in.
I’m assuming DJ will either turn pro or look for a fresh start in a west coast program next year. Even if we somehow win out with him at the helm, I’d bounce and try to let the stink waft off somewhere else if I’m DJ.

No. We can still finish 12-1 with an ACC championship. There is also a slight chance that we make the playoff. There's a lot to play for and Cade simply isn't ready. He's shown nothing to make anyone have any confidence in his ability to make good plays and win games.

I couldn't agree more. While personally skeptical that Klubnik has a Watson or Lawrence ceiling, it's well past time to begin finding out. How much longer can Dabo and co. remain in denial that DJU's potential is a far cry from national championship caliber? DJ's career at Clemson should effectively be over unless he's willing to accept a backup role. Give Klubnik the reins as the team's future QB for the duration of the 2022 season. If Cade is found wanting, then there needs to be an open competition with Vizzina for starting QB in 2023. But Dabo has to immediately slam the door on the DJU era.

Getting ready for 2023 is what the spring and summer is for. Put your best team on the field - for the players and the fans - and right now that is clearly DJ.
