Well if state loses twice we still have a chance to get it with an L I believe.

Nope...if we win on Saturday...State wins out and Duke beats UNC...we finish 4th. State would finish 3rd and the pale blue misses out on the double bye finishing 5th. Personally, I believe we have a better path either finishing 3rd or 6th.

Does not matter if Duke or UNC wins. If Duke wins and State loses we could be 3rd with a W tho.

Certainly it matters...a UNC win guarantees them the 2nd seed, Duke would be 3rd. In this scenario, the best we could be is 4th. Given that NC State just lost to Tech we are guaranteed no worse than 4th with a win against Syracuse. A lose to the Orange and we will be seeded anywhere from 4th to 6th.

Welp, state didn't win out. So, a win Saturday puts us in the top 4.
