Is nobody else worried about the offensive line play?

Dabo had to get on them a couple times last night and when you’re calling passing plays on 3rd and 1 at midfield it doesn’t show that our OC’s have much faith in them.
At this point of the season you’d think a group full of upperclassmen wouldn’t have to be begged to play....
We might not gain a single yard on the ground against a front 7 like Michigan or Alabama.

Interestingly, #2 NCState plays #7 UNCheat this weekend, yet I expect 7-3 going against 2-8 won’t be full of excellent play.

On 3rd and 1 let’s leave it out of the hands of a true freshman QB and just run the ball.

There was a crowd behind us last night
Nov 18, 2018, 2:26 PM
|
|
that when the band would play the da da da GO! after a first down from a 3rd down (only happened 4 times)
They would go da da da Block!
Pretty funny
Duke was very fundamentally sound with their blocking and tackling. I hope they use the video from last night to teach some technique to go with our talent.

I have voiced my concerns about our OL on this thread a couple of times. I just don't see them as competitive against an Alabama or OSU. They are nowhere near dominant, as was painfully obvious in the first half against Duke. And we won't be able to wear down Bama or even OSU by throwing sheer numbers at them.

They gave up almost 300 yds to the back from Maryland. Or maybe you meant Oregon State. It would make as much sense.

You lost me at OSU. They won’t finish in the top 12, nor should they. If you had said Michigan I could have found some common ground. Nevertheless, our OL will be ready for whoever is on the schedule.

Your trolling tour is nearing an end.
A number of others have said it, but how pitiable you are, continually starving for attention, refreshing every moment, whereby you hunger for the most ubiquitous or random reply to your attempts, providing you with self worth to keep on trolling and refreshing anew.
It’s a really sad life that provides no positive benefit to anyone or anything. To the contrary, your whole hope and model is to destroy, praying with each post that it’s the one that will really stir it up! Give you purpose!
Most people can’t even fathom that type of sad life much less wallowing in it, craving it, hoping with each post, this may be the one that really upsets: day after day after day.
Wow man. Just wow.
I don’t hate you either. I feel genuinely sad. Not sure you’re even capable of making the connection between your behavior and how sad a life you’re invariably doomed to live.

They seem to dos what they have to do when we need them too. Our backs are still getting yards and we’re winning games. We’ll see, but I’m not particularly worried about it at the moment.

I’m more worried about the pitiful special teams. You see in a close game vs an elite team it’s going to kill us. Especially if our O can’t get first downs , you give a good team the ball at the 50 most of the time they are going to score at least a FG. Then our FG kicking is hit or miss , you drive the field and then miss a 40 yard FG it kills.

I wouldn’t say our OL is dominant or anything, but I don’t think it’s as bad as many make it out to be. We’re 11th in the country in rushing, and 2nd in the country in yards per attempt at 6.73. We’re also top 15 in the country in the least amount of sacks given up. Sure, we have a lot of talent which helps, but you don’t hit those numbers with horrible OL play.

This ^^^ I see so many complaints about this OL but they're honestly one of the best in the nation in my opinion. The issue is lack of opportunity for the RBs and playcalling. RPOs make the OL look bad when they dont work out. It's really on the QB to read the D and decide what to do with protections and TL is still learning. Point is OL is fine as Trevor gets better the better the OL will look.

Where we need to be. It's the one part of our program that is behind in being elite.
Just look at our draft results, that should be all the proof people need.

One week from today I will celebrate with 97 candles on my cake. I believe one of the reasons I've been able to make it thus far is to not worry about things over which I have no control. A friend of mine many years ago passed along this advice to me and I'm extremely happy to share this advice.
