Interesting NFL Combine -- WR 40 times

So far Tyquan Thorton/Baylor has run the top 40 of all time (4.21). And Chris Olave/Ohio State has run the 4th best time ever (4.26).

What I find interesting is the question of whether it's the shoes, the running surface, the training methods or the athletes themselves that are most responsible for the record times. Of course, there is always the "all of the above". Very impressive times!

Fri 3/4 Update -- NFL now reports the 40 times were recorded were wrong, and no record setting times occurred. Strange. NFL now has Tyquan Thornton at 4.31 and not 4.21. Strange.

They always show the unofficial times first and come back with the official times a little later. The times they show while they are running are hand times.
