1.7 yards per rush and 107 passing yards.
They beat a good Iowa St. team 27-17 with those stats. A win is a win regardless of less than impressive offensive stats.

I don’t care…people fall hook line and sinker for this sh*t every season…

Media props up teams like them only for them to get absolutely smoked when they finally get a prime time game…Every opportunity Iowa has been given on the big stage they have absolutely choked.

Just like all the other teams in that conference they serve as a prop for OSU…that’s their confirmation bias…Awful.

IOWA has gotten Killed in Every Big Bowl Game in JAN theyve played in.

The most recent Best example was to a 2 Loss STANFORD team in the 2015/16 Bowl season, 45-16 where the game was Over after the 1st play of the game, being a STANFORD 70 yard Td pass. I felt both Sorry for them yet, Embarrassed at the same time. It almost seemed like they were playing against BAMA or CLEMSON that Afternoon.

Hold on just a minute about Iowa's bowl record.....

The Hawkeyes whupped the Gamecocks 31-10 in the 2009 Outback Bowl.

I should have been more specific, I meant to say of the Major 5 BOWL Games theyve participated In, their Bowl record is TERRIBLE.

I dont count the OUTBACK BOWL like I do the ROSE, ORANGE, SUGAR, FIESTA Bowls. In these Bowls you contend for National Titles or your playing teams which just missed the Playoffs.

IOWA in recent Memory still has the 2016 ROSE BOWL as the most fresh to their Memory. That was a 45-16 Beatdown by STANFORD.

IOWA Did Win an Orange Bowl vs. Georgia Tech I do believe, but even that Georgia Tech team was no where near the 1990 Ga Tech team that Won or split the Title that season.

The JURY still Out on IOWA and especially TEXAS A& M.

The Turnovers were Horrible for IOWA ST and the Scoop and score was Devastating and took them right Out of It.

Yet, Only Lost by 10 points.

CLEMSON or OREGON would Beat Iowa St by much more than did Iowa.

Theres No Doubt that those are Interesting stats.

However, I just dont think that such a Jump All the way to #5 was Warranted.

IOWA ST seemed Overrated, Looked pretty weak.

Me thinks Ohio St will beat IOWA later this season, and Both CLEMSON and OREGON would dismantle them.

CLEMSON should be No Lower than #4 or 5.
