I'll try to keep it as simple as possible. I'm curious about personal perspective that might motivate people's opinions in this matter. Just answer the questions yes or no.
1. Do you believe gay marriage should be legal in America (simple yes or no... don't get into "civil unions")?
2. Is your stance governed in any way by your religious beliefs?
3. Do you have any homosexual family members?
4. Do you have any homosexual friends or people you care about other than family?
And my answers:
1. Yes.
2. No.
3. Not that I'm aware of.
4. Yes
And I'll stop starting new topics on this because I have to drive to the Upstate and that's miserable enough.

married, but no church or pastor should be forced to marry them. I am a Christian, but I do not believe everything in the Bible is the literal word of God nor do I believe all of it was intended as rules that should apply to all people for all time. I do believe in the central message of love, however, and therefore see no moral reason to deny gay people, who are harming no one, the benefits of a legal marriage.

1. Yes EXCEPT churches and pastors have a right to say no without fear or lawsuits or jail, etc
2 Sorta. Again back to 1, I have no problem with what Jim and John does, it doesn't affect me but I draw the lines at people being forced to go along with it.
3. Yes, my brother and btw he feels the same as I do about 1
4. Yes. one of my wife's and I very best friends is a bisexual female. (And no, nothing has ever happened so no pigs)
