with no acc team in the playoffs. ville would be orange and fsu would be next highest consolation bowl

Actually, I think that there's a good chance that FSU would get an at-large New Years Six bowl game in that scenario. The only scenario where we would likely drop down a peg would be if FSU won and was left out of the playoffs. Then, they would get the Orange and Louisville would miss out on the NY6.
