It starts UP FRONT. Offensive linemen are not and never have been a Tiger strongpoint.. I always thought that it was the fault of the ex OLCoach but I’m not sure that is true. I think that OL recruiting should be the number one goal of this team. Winning is so much easier if you can control the OL. Right or wrong.

You are correct. The CFP committee has a short memory, if we look like a different team and have the ACC championship under our belt they will put us in. It’s the “looking like a different team” part that I’m worried about though. I don’t think Dabo will make the necessary changes to make that happen this year.

Unfortunately I don't think Cade, Trevor or even Patrick Mahomes could rescue this offense. Our problems last night went much deeper than QB. The team looked scared to play physical after the blocked punt and that is probably the biggest thing Dabo needs to focus on right now. Because if we continue to play soft nothing will change no matter our personnel or coaching staff.

After watching the entire game again last night on You Tube, it is apparent that our biggest problem on offense is blitz management.
For the simple blitz (one guy coming through one gap), our RB's are both coached well enough to position themselves to make the block. However, Mafah is the only RB who is actually good at executing the block. Our other RB (the one who we all love ... including me) is simply awful at carrying out the block on a blitzer. Whether LB or DB, it doesn't matter. Our favorite RB is no more effective than a Kleenex at blocking the blitzer.
For the more complicated blitz (two blitzers coming through the same gap), Streeter hasn't been able to make an adjustment. This needs to be figured out in practice, and needs to be figured out FAST.
Our OL is good enough at straight-up pass protection; OL is only mediocre at run blocking. Against good teams with a good DL we become one-dimensional. This isn't a fault of being soft; it's a problem of not being genetically predisposed to being both strong and agile enough to consistently whip a really good D.Lineman. All of our OL guys are pretty agile, but with the exception of Marcus Tate and McFadden they don't have the strength to consistently win when run blocking.
But we are not "soft."

NO college football team can allow a defender to run up the middle,unblocked and block a punt. That is much,much to elementary for the Clemson Tigers to have happen in a very big game. What a way to start the biggest road game of the year on national tv.
We all love Dabo and are very blessed to have him leading our football program BUT .... you finish this remark.
