Miami got better treatment than I thought they would (in the first half). George or Cleveland is gonna need to go berserk in the second half if they are gonna bring this win home.
I think this may be Jim Larrañaga‘a last year. Picked 2nd and in the bottom third of the conference. For those wondering, this would be considered an unsuccessful (or even disappointing) season.

Injuries have crippled Miami. They would have been great.

Pack and Poplar have been huge injuries for them. All the more reason to having a pipeline of young players.
The people on here that made fun of Schieffelin the last couple of years did not appreciate the development process and our young talent. I am grateful for it.

Schieffelin is the poster child for development. He’s really good now.

People just weren't paying him enough attention. He gained minutes after his freshmen campaign and was still third on the depth chart at his position by the end of it. He balled last year as well. If anything, he's become a better rebounder, but he's always been a much better player than most bold enough to post have a clue.

Unlike you and your friends, I never had to re-apply. Hate to disappoint your pathetic existence.
That the best you got? Assuming a Carolina grad, but maybe just “studied at Carolina” person.

Are you saying that a coach who has led the program to "new heights" might be fired for failing to meet the expectations?
I'm told that's just plain stupid! Who will they hire that can even do the same job Larrañaga has done, let alone do any better?!
He has 6 NCAA bids, which equals the number of NCAA bids they had in history before he got there! Including two Sweet 16s, an Elite 8, and a Final Four JUST LAST YEAR!
Sure, his average finish in the ACC is 6th place, but he won the ACC regular season twice, and the ACC Tournament once.
I mean, sure, his overall winning percentage is only 0.625 and his ACC winning percentage is only .529, but those are a lot higher than previous Miami head coaches ever did. It's not like Miami has a long history of basketball greatness.
I guess the stretch he had from 2017-2020 (ACC finish 11th, 10th, 13th) plus this years likely finish (around 12th place).
If they fire Larrañaga, how will they find someone better? They should just stick with him for as long as he wants to stay there. I mean, they beat Clemson's "elite" HC and his "best team ever" handily earlier this year in Clemson.

Hardly. I think he might retire. He's a great coach. This year has been a disappointment for sure, but his record is pretty stellar. Despite having a losing conference record since 2018.

Last foul shot by Davis. 55 over the back on rebound. No call.

I’ll give Miami credit, they are 6th in the ACC as an away underdog since 2018.
Beat the spread, just couldn’t quite pull in off.
Not a real important stat, but some “people” live on this crap.

Ahh, Mr Jr statistician, enjoying the season? I am right now. We should have a better record, but the W’s sure have quieted the critics. Stats might prove that. Maybe posts/day after a win/loss.

Why did you squat on an account for nearly thirty years to just troll Clemson basketball. Makes no ####### sense. And if anyone actually reads your posts you’re playing both sides of this coin. Makes no sense at all. Just completely stupid. Anyone paying attention can see you’re just here to troll. Good dumb luck for you that your old ### account seems locked in at 100% or people would catch on sooner. EABoDs.

Why do you care? I posted quite regularly when purnell left. Pointing out your FOS stats is easy and quite enjoyable. Keep being miserable. You excel at that. You and olemike59 can keep bashing Schieff, but subscribers know better. Enjoy your evening troll.
How many times have I asked you and others what constitutes success? Feel free to define that for current or future coaching staffs, but you won’t.

That’s not what your activity shows. This was a dormant account until roughly a year ago according to what is visible on your profile. Based on your point totals and the totals point earned since they introduced award, it would indicate that the last year is indeed the bulk of your time using this site. You’re obviously just a scock that wants to start fights with me and I don’t have time or energy to argue with the same user under 5 different identities. You are using the same dishonest garbage as Judge Keller, et al.

Certainly don't have to answer to you, but I can show that I was active a while back. Didn't get much attention at the time, but I was there.

Deep down inside, you know I'm not one of these people. I've taken your so called stats & rankings and called them to task. You spout off rankings without criteria/data. Nothing but foolish diatribe. If you want to show actual assist to turnover stats over the last 20 years you could, but you won't. Rankings are easier to hide behind. You're nothing but a carpetbagger trying to peddle your selected ilk. Be transparent, sincere and genuine. All things you have promoted, yet not practiced.

you haven't called anything to task. You have been passive aggressive. When you directly engaged me about stats I've posted, you were blatantly mistaken and moved the goal posts without acknowledging your prior error. Then you started digging up old posts and tagging me with unrelated nonsense. None of this is indicative of someone that has "called (me) to task". You're just the newest variation of the same old crap. If you think something makes a better point, make it yourself. That is "sincere and genuine". Not "derp, I bet you won't post this!" when I actually posted the thing in question and you were too eager to shoot your load to actually read the post. It's not someone's job to argue both sides of the debate which is, at best, what you're trying to do. How many posts about Brownell (not just to me) did you reply some variation of "put it in the contract next time". Yeah, real sincere and genuine debate on your part.
And, to answer the only specific issue you actually brought up - I have discussed assist, turnovers, and assist to turnover ratio. Again, you want me to fight both sides of the fight while contributing nothing but trolling pedantic nonsense while you snicker from the sidelines. That's the height of insincere.

A/T ratio, Assists & Turnovers per game since 2004. I'll be transparent. Here's actual data. Of course, Neff is probably only looking at cherry picked data since 2018.
You are welcome.
