Any chance of Danny Ford on Gameday?

I'd love to see Danny Ford on ESPN College Gameday doing predictions for the Georgia game. He's going into the Ring of Honor, so he'll already be there August 31st. It would also be fun to hear him discuss some of the epic battles he had with Georgia.

is "Hall of Fame Day/Football Reunion Day" this year, so I figured they'll most likely induct him during that one.

I doubt we'll see Danny on ESPN as the Guest Picker since he's a regional figure and they'd probably prefer to have someone nationally known (Hopefully CJ Spiller will be available)...
However someone in that link had an awesome idea of trying to get Danny Ford and Vince Dooley together on Gameday in honor of the battles that went on in the 80s.
I think that would be fantastic and it would bring some more national attention to this rivalry.

Most universities promote their OWN KIND on GAMEDAY. Vince the Prince once stated they had nothing to gain by playing Clemson. Sorry. This old school tiger fan isn't interested in propping up that bitter sob.

Am I correct in assuming you're responding to my post?
If so, I'm not saying I would want them to be the guest pickers. I'm saying it would be cool if there was a segment on them which highlighted the history of the rivalry...potentially with both of them on set. It would be cool and could hopefully bring more national attention to our rivalry and therefore the team.

How much more exposure do you need than a nationally televised event in a prime time slot? It's a 2 year series that will be over and done with. And yea, GAMEDAY in Clemson should be about Clemson. I'm not interested in dragging up a uGAY legend who's dissed Clemson in the past. Move along

We've been on a recruiting tear in Georgia recently and I believe that a lot of the enhanced interest in Clemson is because we're squaring up with their state's flagship program on the field for a couple of seasons.
Scheduling them has already helped. Beating them takes it up a notch. They have a lot more to lose by scheduling us than we do them.

Clemson....and DABO!
This is Dabo's team, and Dabo's time!
I love Coach Ford. He is a Clemson icon & Legend, but THIS DAY, needs to belong to Dabo!
If it 's a guest picker that you long for, it need's to be:
Brian Dawkins, CJ, Jeff Davis, Charlie Whitehurst or some other player. Not a former coach.

to be inducted then. I would imagine that Dabo played at least some role in having this come to pass in the first place. Besides, though an important and monumental event, it's the game itself that's going to take center stage, and we all know who's running that one.
At the end of the game, at mid-field, it'll be Dabo's turn for the spotlight.

Most schools use famous alums who are not sports-related. I expect Nancy O'Dell, Lee Brice, or someone else who is famous (if there is anyone I'm blanking on).
