This is what is eventually going to happen. However, the ESPN's and FOX's have too much many too make now to let it happen quickly. All that is going to happen is the continued destruction of some conferences, while hurting a lot of the other sports along the way.

I love the ACC traditions in the likes of Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, etc. Let Football make its money, and keep the history and regionality of a lot of the Olympic and other sports alone. There is no need for some of the other sports to travel to CA and Texas on a regular basis. Get into the playoffs and then you travel where required.

For Example, its great playing a Stanford (in the NCAA Playoffs) in Soccer but excessive regular season travel is expensive and not necessary.

That's why I want them to make a separate College Football League. Let the conference stay with the other sports so they will keep the tradition and rivalries alive.
