Taking the cake right now losing it on a player who said “we are 7-2 not 2-7 we still have a chance at a double digit win season”
Fans are going after him “This is OKLAHOMA this is unacceptable, doesn’t matter if we lose out now y’all suck”
Are Oklahoma fans really that delusional to think they’re back in the early 2000s or something?? They haven’t competed for #### for a long time and when they did they crapped themselves.

Their fans were always “holier than thou” types when they played us. I’ve enjoyed every beatdown we put on them. As well as the nutnecklaces.

They’ve been to four CFPs - but obviously have not fared well. I don’t think they are any more delusional than Clemson fans these days. They look at themselves as the big dog of their respective conferences and as such expect to be in the CFP hunt this time of year.

And haven’t won a single playoff game, at least Clemson won two and went to the finals 3 times. Not saying we don’t have delusional fans just saying our recent hardware outweighs theirs.

I acknowledged that they haven’t fared well (which is a nice way of saying 0-4.
But they have made the CFP somewhat regularly and to me that means they have competed for #### recently is all.
I remember OU fans on their board ####ing on Clemson prior to them getting Cole Stouted in the bowl game. I remember their hubris which now runs rampant on at least this message bored.

When leaving, I was in traffic - in line - with a handful of other Clemson fans (paws, flags, tiger tails, etc. on our vehicles). One of them starting blowing their car horn, so ALL OF US begin hitting our horns, as well. There was a female OU fan walking on the side of the road close to me (I was driving). She started screaming at me, gave several gesture, and actually took a few steps in my/our direction. I truly believe she was pretty close to coming around to the driver’s side/door and getting in my face - or more - but traffic started moving again, and she didn’t look like the type to do a lot of running or chase a car very far….
Good times! lol

And just playing their way out of CFP contention, those 2 losses:
*Kansas - who OU has been 80 out of 114 meetings & snapped an 18-game win streak
*Oklahoma State - lost a competitive game against their "little brother" where there were some questionable calls in series where OU has won whopping 91 of 118 meetings
Both are long-standing series coming to an end & those losses mean, despite the overwhelming dominance, those 2 have foreseeable bragging rights over the "blue blood"

Agreed TIP. Clemson has one of the best, if not the best, Fanbase out there. As a season-ticket holder to two schools (Clem & UF) I have seen at all. Every Fanbase has a bad lot, but just because there are disagreements about the direction of the program doesn’t make any particular person a bad fan.
Go to college park, Maryland or Baton Rouge, Louisiana at night like I have, and then you’ll know what a bad fan is….or Athens or Knox…. Whether it’s poor performance from their own program, or the flat out obnoxiously awful behavior towards other fans. Clemson is way, way better

You have answered your own question. They have a right to feel that way. They have won nothing of consequence for years, other than a few Big 12 titles. No major bowl wins and no playoff wins in 20 years it seems like. Clemson, on the other hand, is merely spoiled.

Lived in Oklahoma for a decade. Honestly, they arent much different than us. They just have a longer history of success. My fear is they will run Venables outta town to early. He took over a train wreck of a roster and has done verh well so far. Natty aspirations we're probably not realisitic in year 2, but after having them undefeated highly ranked they were excited. Gotta remember too there is absolutely nothing in Oklahoma. OU is king of the sports world here and everybody is either an alumni or lifelong fan. OSU is the red headed step-child.

The second most exciting thing to do in Oklahoma if a game isn’t on is WalMart. The deer hunting is incredible but other than that it has to be one of the most boring states to live in.

It is a stupid comment from the OU fans - but if we lose to SC you will some of the same BS no matter how we do in the rest of our games. Some people use the interstate rivalry to losetheirfuckinminds.
