It always seemed to me that guys who named their high school or other institution rather than their college had some axe to grind, like the FSU receiver dismissed by Bobby Bowden - Coles? Is Maxwell not on good terms with CU? Feels like a diss.

I've heard him say Clemson before. I thought it was odd at first, but if he's got 8 prime time games this year, he probably is just spreading the love.

A lot of guys do this though...Rogers didn't say Cal last night either. Just don't think there is much there. I know he still supports the team.

It's exactly that, showing a little love to his tiny hometown. For those of you who don't know he is from Hollywood, SC and most of his family still lives there. CC Blaney is the elementary school he attended. He goes back every year and gives back especially to the kids in that community-has community events, camps and fun days for the kids. But don't get it twisted, he is on great terms with CU and represents it with pride!
