Winston's Crab Legs
Apr 22, 2015, 9:09 AM

According to the ever reputable (cough, cough) 247 sports: Winston didn't steal the crab legs but they were "free". So he admittedly committed a recruiting violation while at FSU. This is what I figured all along. I know this stuff happens everywhere but it is one thing to go to a restaurant and someone pays for you meal. Since he was smart enough to get into Stanford I assume he knew the risks of getting caught and did it anyway. Therefore, he is what I thought all along a narcissist and willing to do whatever he wants whenever he wants without regard for anyone else. Sure, he is a team player and all but just because you are liked by other players and you are charismatic, doesn't mean you care sacrificially. The vulgar expression is point number 2. Again, accepted to Stanford but wiling to risk everything to get a laugh. He doesn't care about others, he cares about himself. I have no doubt that he assaulted that girl. I don't care if she was promiscuous or not if she didn't or couldn't consent then it was sexual assault. I also understand there wasn't evidence to indict him, but the TPD is to blame for that. However, there is now a preponderance of evidence that shows that Winston is an arrogant and selfish. I don't know if he will be drafted #1 but if I was there I would not because of the fact that he is willing to sacrifice his talents and his team for the MOMENT. Tampa Bay should trade out of the #1 spot address other needs and wait for the right one. Winston is not. He is also not the dream QB like people say he is. He is good but takes to many risks downfield and has an average release time. Just cause he is similar in skills to Andrew Luck doesn't make him such. AL was 10 times the player and person. Oh he and he actually went to Stanford.

I will sever my ties if they draft that sociopath. That organization with a rich history of shooting themselves in the foot deserve everything that they get if they waste their first pick on Winston.

I wouldn't go that far and say "I have no doubt in my mind he assaulted that girl" Everything else you stated may have merit. But there were only 2 people in that room. His life is on display for everyone to judge and draw conclusions, we don't know what kind of person she is because she is not in the public eye. My point is we don't know what happened either way

He basically just threw FSU and Jimbo under the bus.
BTW, allegedly, some of his teammates were in the room as well...enjoying the "show."

Yes I agree with that!! He fell on the sword for FSU last summer by taking the blame, but I guess he is getting tired of all the Crab legs jokes and he decided to set the record straight. As far as the teammates in the room she stated that one of them told him to stop. Both players stated that when they walked in they assumed it was consensual because she told them to leave and she didn't mention anything about him stopping.
Look let me be clear. I'm NOT defending him... and I was not there....but I've also been "falsely accused" of certain things and it's no fun.

To be honest, I don't approve of one night stands but it isn't illegal. If he hadn't been in that situation then he couldn't be accused. Well, he could be accused but would have an alibi. I was also under the impression that he said she told them to leave. He also said moaning means yes. Not true as it could be from pain. In any case he took advantage of a drunk girl and the police department screwed everything up from the beginning which solidifies that I don't doubt he did it.

emphasis on I have no doubt. I am not saying that I know evidence. I do not doubt that he did it. Also there wasn't just 2 people as his buddies busted in and started filming him.

Well at the end of the day, I wasn't there and I can only go on what the report stated. Not the ESPN or Yahoo articles or internet jibberish, but the official report which is filed as public info. After reading the report it was undisputed that she did change her story 3 times.
Im a Clemson fan and this is a Clemson board, so by virtue of that fact most on this site would not believe Winston anyway. All I'm saying is if we call him a crab stealing thief, then we mush equally call her a story changing liar.
If he is guilty I hope Karma comes back and destroys him unmercifully. If she is indeed lying about the whole thing I equally hope Karma comes for her as well.
