He is a great coach. Knows how to manage games as well as develop talent. They play hard and fast. They are a lot of fun to watch.

I do too - have to be the best of the under seeds. How would you like to be Arizona and see that's how you opened tourney?

I agree, but since we have a coach, I guess that's a moot point. After all, our guy isn't concerned about his job status and he played a major role in helping get LJ renovated, according to the man himself. I'm not impressed with his comments, nor his leadership of our men's program.

Fair enough - it's hard to stomach another yr of this, I can tell you that. Even an ncaa bid will not change that. It would be the equivalent of pulling a nickel out of your butt

No doubt, those guys get after it!
(however, as an engineering grad myself, that has got to be the nerdiest looking bunch of players I've seen in s long time.... ??)

I would take those nerds over our turds at this point, Haha. But seriously, their players are good and very well coached.
(Was a joke, will get hammered for this.)

I agree, Marshall is a very good coach and they are fun to watch.

But let's not forget that many of the athletes he recruits at Wichita State would not get into Clemson. I'm not saying that he wouldn't be successful at Clemson, because I think he would, but it's a totally different situation.

The requirements for an NCAA basketball scholarship at Clemson are the exact same as they are at Wichita State
Please do not pretend for a second that the members of the Clemson basketball team would all be accepted as students through normal channels. Clemson has a very tough admission requirement for students and there is no way every basketball player meets those requirements.
If they are offered and clear the NCAA clearinghouse they are going to be accepted at Clemson. Period, End of Story.
Same at SC, Wichita St, Duke or any other major power school.

I know that Clemson athletes are not held to the same standards as regular students

when applying. That wasn't my point. My point was that Wichita State, based on what I have heard, tends to accept partial qualifiers and transfers who are not as likely to be accepted by schools like Clemson who do not necessarily accept a student simply because the NCAA allows it. In case you didn't know, Clemson has a committee which reviews applications for student-athlete admission and looks closely at their performance to decide whether they think the athlete can be successful academically at Clemson. I think it's a great thing.

Dream on. Greggggggggg isn't going anywhere like Clemson where he has to compete with football. The guy is an egomaniac and loves being the king in Wichita.
