amateurs? very poorly run debate. the comments from the moderators (with the possible exception of Chris Wallace) throughout the thing made me think of these guys:

purposefully screwed Dr. Ron Paul out of his debate spot in 2008. Seems that they have developed a formula of having blond babes with law degrees pair up with dark haired studs.
There was a time when FNC had Fred Barnes, Mort Kondracke, Brit Hume, and some other respected media types. Now FNC is like the Golden Corral for lazy pseudo conservative Republicans.

The treatment of RP and libertarians is one of the reasons I'm still pretty sore with the GOP and FNC. I view the GOP more negatively than dems eventhough in theory I should be more closely aligned with the pubs.

that is because I thought FNC had a reputation for good presentation. But I was more than happy with the tone of the debate, the questions, and the actual moderation.

Indeed it was far from it. It was disjointed with odd added commentary from the moderators. Timing was also strange.
I didnt watch a debate. I watched a question and answer session. A town hall q&a would be better because at least that is spontaneous. This was worse than a town hall because it was completely scripted by FNC. FNC wanted a narrative and wanted to elicit sound bites and it did just that.

Bunch of guys on stage, three judges, one hot woman and two guys, Trump calling out Rosie. Just struck me as a reality TV show. That's part Trump and part the setup I think.
