as well as repeated bad spots that short us, but give yardage to the opponents, that the ACC has it out for us because it looks like we may be leaving. Well, after watching the girls soccer game against FSU and the non-call on the obvious(and I don't know squat about soccer but I knew that as soon as I saw it) that they are sticking it to us....

The Referee is omnipotent and they know it. That’s a very English point of view, omnipotent authority figures. In America that point of view is scoffed and mocked. Soccer is more in love with its history and traditions, than it is with getting it right. The soccer mafia powers that be, will wax poetic about the beauty of the game, while doing the blind, deaf and dumb monkey routine on the obvious blown call that changed a Championship result. Soccer has been doing exactly that for more than 100 years. It’s one of soccer’s traditions.

Good post. I think soccer can be a little tricky for officals. In too many cases, players make theatrical swan dives, and cry and scream in an effort to draw fouls or penalty shots.

Losers blame the refs and we have not lost a game because of the calls. You know that blaming the boat doesn't help you catch more fish.
