(and I thought David did a great job, btw)...
But TDP pretty much set the stage for us to exit...
Hs showed no support for the ACC.
He sighted examples of other school jumping around.
He acknowledged the importance of remaining relevant in football.
He was also very careful with his wording.

that he cant really say to much.lets say if he blasted the ACC and so forth then the big 12 deal were to fall through.the acc would make life bad for clemson after that.

TDPs hands are tied legally and I personally am glad he didn't say stupid stuff like the FSU guy did, which made them look terrible.
The important qualifier in TDPs statement was "nobody AT CLEMSON has talked to the big 12." If you remember we created a team to look into conference expansion, etc., last fall. These would technically be independent folks.
Also, he went out of his way to mention football needs to be the focus many times, so that to me said they are working on it.

Legally, you say these things to give yourself plausible deniability in a law suit. As someone pointed out, TDP is a lawyer, so he gets it. Yes, I think this is one of the reasons that lawyers are snakes as a whole, but it is just the reality in the way our country works.
