but there might be an inner circle close to Chapel Hill that is saying Hubert threw the game last night to Help Brownell. If this were true, it could only be for a couple of reasons, he felt sorry for him, or he does not want coach B to get fired so he can get the automatic win when needed.
I am not saying I believe this, so take it with a grade of slaw, but it would not surprise me if it were true. I do not know this inner circle personally, but there has been some chatter from inside of it that would hint at this being true.
Don't shoot the messenger, I am just reporting what I heard a person say out loud a few minutes ago.

Hubert Davis will go down in history as the first Carolina coach to lose to Clemson in Chapel Hill and I can promise you he does not want title any more than Ken Hatfield wanted to be the first Clemson coach to lose to UVA in football. At risk for Carolina is losing a top 4 National seed in the tournament and the top seed in the ACC tournament. Losers can come up with all kinds of excuses and throwing last night's game may be one of best.
