Fswho as how "awesome" they are. I am sure if UGA loss their starting QB and had 10 or 11 starters declare they weren't playing against a major opponent it would look so different. LOL and...LOL.

Either way, with or without starters, FSU was overrated.

I would bet UGA's backups vs. Clemson or FSU in 2023 @AThomas®v ... UGA's backups are much better than Duke, Miami and NCSU.

All over the board acting like this was a legit test tonight. Far from it, but will fuel (actually already well underway) the ongoing SEC superiority narrative and the weak ACC narrative. Enjoy!

That did nothing to help the ACC’s image as being a worthy brand. I hate that more than you can imagine, but that “performance” tonight just hurt our image, even more than we know. I despise the secheat, and I am so sad to see college football devolve into such an abomination of what this collegiate game should be, amateur competition. If you like what it has become, good for you, I guess, but I hate it. I didn’t watch any of the last 3 quarters. Pretty pathetic!

LOL...Jawja is a well-coached, talented team. We have our work cut our for us in the opener. To say otherwise is pure delusion.

one heck of a job with UGA, and I think whoever thought it would be a good idea to schedule them for our opener next season didn't have his/her/its head screwed on correctly. Why not a Podunk Community College, you know, kind of what Bama usually schedules. Sheesh.....LOL.

We have some lame “fans” on this board - to say the least. They are already running around saying “the sky is falling”. I guess we should just forfeit. Spot the d**n ball!

I wasn’t as focused on the game as I was on the sheer embarrassment of riches that GA has and more coming in. The size, speed, and talent they have is crazy. It is the way we looked during our 4 NC game runs. The talent gap is growing and I really don’t understand our plan to close it.
I admit that I am spoiled and I don’t want to just be competitive. I want us to be dominant again.

Let’s not conveniently forget UGA had some guys not there as well:
First round NFL pick LT Amarius Mims WR Rara Thomas DL Christen Miller Starting LB Smael Mondon LB Damon Wilson CB Julian Humphrey
Transfer Out: Starting LB Jamon Dumas-Johnson QB2 Brock Vandagriff 4 receivers 3 offensive linemen 1 defensive lineman 3 outside linebackers 2 other linebackers

Georgia lost the number of players that was in the mid twenties that did not go. FSU was not playing against an intact Georgia roster. Far from it. Definitely, Alabama and Georgia should have been two of the four teams in the playoff.
All this big money to put teams together, players leaving and transferring whenever they want has ruined the game, I think, to me. We all see, now, what it takes to play big boy football.

I think about half of the 19 were starts (some 1st round draft picks) and others would have seen playing time.

So if we played LSU or Ole Miss without their top two qb, best two receivers, best rb , most of their oline, three of their dlinemen and like half the rest of their defense.. if we beat them by 40 would that make us playoff worthy?

Let’s talk facts:
FSU was missing 25 players, with 14 of those being starters
UGA was missing 19 guys, with 9 of them being starters (some of which will be first round draft picks)
So we are talking about 5 guys making up the difference of 60 points and then some. And let’s not forget the entire second half Georgia’s 3rd string quarterback played along with several other 2nd and 3rd string guys.

Key positions is the difference.. qb and three of his main targets not to mention they are now on their third qb!! Their top rb and three of there four defensive linemen that are all nfl bound. Also once you see the offense isn’t going to do anything the defense gives up so Lear football before posting on a football board. I’ve watched Georgia all year and they have struggled the same as any team. A full healthy FSU would have given them a good game within 14 points

I agree.
The reason you can't really look at bowl season the way you use to is: "the opt outs". Who opts out is just as important as how many.
FSU had both!
Nobody with any football IQ thought FSU had a chance in this game. Nobody!
It's amazing to me as well ATHOMAS. Might be some undercover Georgia fans. Give Georgia all the credit that is due. They had players out as well; but they are a deeper team A. B. they had fewer key player opt out. So, duh, to the people who are amazed by the beatdown.
