There was a similar situation a couple years ago with Pitt (I think). They counted a shot at the buzzer to tie or win the game at the end of regulation. The officials went to the monitor and there was a shot showing the ball touching the shooters hand and that red light shining brightly on the backboard. There was some ruling that allowed the shot to count. We either lost right there or went on to lose in OT. I said at the time they need to eliminate the light around the backboard if it would not help in that situation.

If I have "misremembered" what happened a few years ago please forgive me.

"When I was young, I was sure of many things; now there are only two things of which I am sure: one is, that I am a miserable sinner; and the other, that Christ is an all-sufficient Saviour. He is well-taught who learns these two lessons." -John Newton
