I think if I were Texas I wouldn't take that chance. They may end up stuck in Texas until a court decides. Moreover, Texas is trying to make a point. NY can get the same treatment. Random foreigners just showing up at their doorstep with little notice.

I’d request that the Executive Branch tell each city to rescind their ‘sanctuary city’ status and to then round up every illegal entry immigrant for deportation before the federal government lifts a finger another finger to help them.
Why ‘another finger’?

But you are right that the next step has to come from Congress. We're largely in this mess because the past three admins used Executive power rather than working with Congress on a solution, which meant our policies have lurched one way to the other.

I agree that getting Mexico more actively involved would be a great help, but Mexico isn't THE problem. The problem is that we are sending the message that anybody who comes to the U.S. stands a great chance of getting in without having to go through any real immigration or legal process. We need to change our message to:
If you come to the U.S., you will be welcomed if you complete the legal immigration process. Otherwise, you will not be allowed in, and if you enter illegally, you will be caught and deported.
There is absolutely no reason we can't do exactly that, no reason we shouldn't, and when we do, the message gets out, and our problem is drastically reduced if not solved altogether.

I mean don't allow them into the country. First, make it clear that if they come here, they will not be let in unless they go through the immigration process. If they still show up here, tell them again they won't be allowed in. If they try to come in anyway, stop them. If they resist or fight, that's an act of illegal violence on their part, and we do whatever we have to do to stop that violence.
There is nothing whatsoever morally or legally wrong with having laws that regulate immigration, and stopping those who violently, purposefully break those laws.
As I understand it, we are allowing hundreds of thousands of migrants in, not arresting them or deporting them, but allowing them to stay. They do not have green cards, visas, or permanent resident status, thus they have not immigrated legally.

See, what happens is that every migrant who hasn't previously been deported shows up at a border crossing and requests asylum. By law, we are required to consider and adjudicate those requests. There isn't anywhere close to enough housing in prisons or cages to hold all those people. So they end up all over. Texas buses them to NYC for example. An ignorant person will then say Texas is busing illegal immigrants to NYC. But I would say to that person while he chokes trying to eat a banana without peeling it, "They aren't illegal (yet, anyway). They are following the asylum process. If they were illegal, they would be arrested and detained for a deportation hearing. If there was no room to detain them, they would be released but not allowed to leave the state. In no case could Texas legally bus them out of state without federal approval. Texas can only bus legal asylum seekers who accept the offer of transportation."
Most asylum requests are eventually denied and the seeker is ordered to leave. Some leave, some disappear into the woodwork. A lot of babies are born citizens while their parents wait for a hearing. You have to change laws to fix most of what you are complaining about. Putting toddlers in cages to discourage it isn't legal, but orange doofus did it anyway and we're still trying to return hundreds of them to family.

The Biden Handlers’ administration has never been constrained by such silly things as actually following the law.
There is nothing to stop them from having all of the sanctuary cities from rounding up the illegal entry immigrants and deporting them.
After that is done, then the deported immigrants can attempt to sue the US federal government to be allowed back into the country.
In other words, deploy LawFare against the illegal entry immigrants … as the Biden Handler regime does against their political opponents.

There are laws. But you completely misunderstand the situation. The "caravan" that Fox has you soiling your panties over is mostly people who are going to follow the law the first time they enter. They aren't trying to sneak in. If you can start to understand that, it gives us hope that you can stop being a burden on society.

they just yell - "I want asylum!" - and they're put into the asylum bin (not arrested, but given a court date...in 2028).
IF they don't get caught swimming across the river - then they're IN.
If they want in - fine - but come in through the front door. Anything else should be considered "breaking into" the US and they should be arrested (and lose their chance to claim asylum). Once that word gets out, many of them will try to enter our beautiful country the legal way....
