Holiday Bowl pays about $6.5M vs Gator Bowl pays about $5.3M

I believe these bowl games are pretty much a financial loss or break even anyways between the expenses (especially going to the left coast) and splitting money with the Anti Clemson Conference members. I think Clemson lucked out with the Gator bowl. It would have been nice to see Clemson play the real USC in a bowl game but Jax is a better fit IMHO. Better than colder weather in NC and a years supply of free mayo.

And Clemson would lose more money going to the Holiday Bowl! More expensive Flights, Hotel Costs, etc.

Great point on recruiting! I think we ought to be done with "Cali boys" recruiting!

Committee once again messed up the bowl games. I agree best 2 Bowls for Clemson would have been in Holiday OSU Clemson Cade vs DJ specially after DJ threw Clemson program under the bus. Both 8-4. Mayo Bowl 2nd I Dukes Mayo gentleman for 59 years and counting I have always wanted Dabo to do get Dukes bath. Whoever picks those teams are useless they always but North Carolina teams in the game when North Carolina is a Helmann's state. Couple years ago committee had chance for perfect Sun Bowl (aka Tony Tiger Bowl) were Clemson and Auburn good record and were on the table

A - DJU is not playing the bowl game B - The mayo bath is stupid. And new. You haven’t “always wanted” that…it didn’t exist. C - The Gator Bowl is far better for Clemson than either of those other two.
Where do you come up with this crap?

Florida and Ga are huge fishing holes for recruits and this provides much more opportunities for the staff to meet players and parents

That’s a huge difference considering how close & warm it will be for the game! 5.3 vs 6.5 & drive vs flying for everyone!
Dabo is so good a bad year turns out great!
All the changes Dabo is making is helping us be better in the future try to compete against large Alumni schools and big budgets for advertising.
Clemson fans are so giving and generous, it is more blessed to give with a cheerful heart… go Tigers!
The Future is bright for Clemson Football!
It’s going to be very hard to keep up with the biggest but we have the best facilities, true fans, great culture and the best family ever!

I think they made this change to benefit DJ. DJ had great season they didn't want him to go down in Clemson massacre.

8-4 not bad season. I knew probably skip bowl game after talked transfer portal again. I didn't like DJ but I really wanted chance for Cade to take him and Oregon State down. Beaver vs Tigers would have been sweet

Actually you liberal CA fruit. USC has always been South Carolina and Southern Cal has always been Souther Cal. OSU has been Oklahoma State and Ohio State has always been Ohio State. UT has always been Texas not Tennessee.

Or a matchup with a football school from the SEC. Don’t get me wrong, Stoops has built a good football program and they are good. It’s just you win and you yawn and you lose and you’re furious. I hate bowl matchups that’s like that.

SCar, Virginia and Wake will make how much $$$ while watching all these bowl games? They paid for this year's scholarships with only 12 games. Added benefit is low chance of injury sitting on the couch.
