Here's a link to a CBS interview article with Ben Skardon

in 2017 when CBS did the 60 minute story. It also has a link to the paramount video of the 60 minute story but you have to sign up for a free 7 day trial. I haven't seen the video yet but the interview article is pretty good in itself. What a great Clemson man and American! RIP sir!

WOW! Thanks, Orange, for sharing about such an incredible patriot! My heart hurts to think of the unimaginable suffering he and his fellow soldiers endured. To hear his humble words declaring he isn’t a hero brought tears to my eyes. Well sir you sure are a hero in my book. Surviving such torture and horror and then coming home to Clemson to educate , mold and shape the minds of the students there. What a gift and blessing you are to our country and Clemson University. You have left a legacy for each of us, something to reach for as we go through this life. Your determination, enduring spirit and humility inspire me to be better and try harder. Rest In Peace Sir.
