IF (big word) DJ had not thrown that one pick in the opening game would this season have played out as it is right now?

Would Bama being playing the Dogs next Monday for all the marbles?

Well since we are playing the "IF" game if we had beat Georgia ,we still wouldn't have made the CFP's.
As to Georgia they would still have played Alabama in the SEECG since the Clemson game was not a conference game.
Of course if Auburn had just done their part Alabama might not have played Georgia for the SECCG.
But of course we all know the one big "IF" is how eSECpn would still find a way for both a 2 loss Alabama and Georgia to make it.

Wouldn't have changed anything, but I feel like that 7 point loss snowballed into the rest of the season. I get your point.

We started off by playing with one arm tied behind our backs on offense since the opening kickoff, we just didn’t know it. The “tremendously tough” Georgia defense (and they were good) .. looked like the same D GT had, and on and on… it took a few games to realize it would not be just a drop off in losing TL, ETN and Rogers … but a major cliff dive offensively.
