Say he expected Clemson men’s basketball to finish in the top 25 by the end of the year.
I’d sure love to have something to cheer for in Feb and March other than more snow storms for the slopes 😊

This looks on paper as good of a team that Brownell has had at Clemson. What he does with it is another thing.

Making the tournament should be the lone requirement for CBB’s program this year. And to make up for lost time, for the next several years. Even at a football school, a successful basketball program should dance at least 50% of the time. ‘Taint rocket science.

I disagree. With all the past disappointment under Brownell, I hope simply making the tournament is not the sole criteria. If we have a good regular season and then go 0fer in the ACC and NCAA tournament I think he should be gone. I suspect you are right though. Just be one of 64 and you're good for another 4 years.

round of the NIT doesn’t exactly leave a positive feel for the season. The league was down and it showed.
However, there was tons of snow up in Tahoe, so there’s that ⛷️ 😁

Most coaches and people that actually know the game of basketball think that brownell is a very good coach.
A brownell coached team typically out performs their talent level. The issue is talent and depth which comes from recruiting. Hopefully new facility upgrades and continued success will help on that front.

Yep, so would I, but we can never take for granite that ranked teams will go far in the NCAA Tournament bc, throughout the history of that Tournament at least 1/2 to 1/4 of the time, a team that wasn't ranked, or they were ranked in the high 20s have been the teams that ends up winning the NCAA Tournament, and most of the top rated teams were knocked out pretty early.... Go Figure  ! ! !
