Smiled & slightly laughed..and said his team will be competitive and will/must play with a chip on its shoulder.
That!s all..but he did say ACC was great conference last year and put out a ton of players to the NFL.

He said there are about 16 teams that could have won it all with a break here or there. Injuries early can cost you a game, but you improve over the course of the year. Also concerned that the national championship race will cause teams to NOT schedule big out of conference games and risk a loss taking them out of the playoff picture. While he didn't come out and say it, a 16 team playoff would allow teams to schedule tougher out of conference matchups early in the year that people want to see with less fear that a loss would disqualify you. The SEC fears these type games will expose their incestuous intraconference puffery.
It's just a matter of time.

16 is too many IMO...
8 is what we need. 4 is too few with 5 major power conferences.
IMO you need to have 5 auto bids (Conference champions) 1 slot for a non power conference team IF they meet certain criteria and either 2 or 3 at large spots.
Get rid of that ###### group of people picking the teams bring back a full computer system to pick the teams.

If you can't be in the top two of your conference, you don't deserve to be in a play-off. if you don't limit it, you will see the SEC pumpers saying they should have four in it.

I actually like 12. Top 4 get a bye, next 4 get the first round at home. Gets basically anybody with even a weak argument in and keeps the regular season important with seeding implications.

Jimbo never spoke about Clemson even though he mentioned the Atlantic Division had the most NFL draftees. He did acknowledge Louisville had 10 players drafted but refused to say the name Clemson in any of his responses. He didn't want to accept that Clemson is picked to win the conference or that we have a good team this year. Reality is that until Clemson can beat FSU and win the ACC, we will not get the respect that we want.
