Cade wasn't getting 1st team snaps at practice, Cade wasn't getting even close to the IN GAME playing time as DW4 or Trevor Lawrence in his freshman season, and I truly believe that it was bc he wasn't getting the same outcome as DW4 or Trevor in his weight room program (Reason Why I Don't Know) and he wasn't putting on the muscle weight with body development as a DW4 and Trevor did. I'm not blaming Cade or the Strength & Conditioning program that they had for Cade, nor am I saying that Cade was a slacker in the weight room bc, all young men's development is different from one to the other with the biggest reason being their metabolism motor from one 18/19-year-old to the next.
According to the preseason weigh in, Cade has put on 10 pounds in his first off season, and I'm going to assume that is muscle weight bc working out during this extremely hot summer, he most likely lost a considerable amount of body fat along with reconditioning his muscles and putting on 10 more pounds than he came in weighing as a true freshman. IMHO, with the Garrett Riley summer instructions for Cade, as we all know that coaches can't assist in the summer workouts, with the preseason camp, I'm betting that by the we play Duke, we should see a new and improved Cade Klubnik.
By the time we play FSU in the 4th game of the season, we should be seeing pretty close to a seasoned QB in Cade, and I say this bc Cade came to Clemson as a 5 Star QB rated as one of the top QB's in the country.
I also think that when our coaches was looking at Cade's HS film, they saw IMO a QB something like a DW4. Also with the type of offense that Dabo likes to run, they saw Cade as a good fit, and I see that type of QB in Cade also, he just has to catch up with the speed of the college game and He'll do a good job with our offensive style... Go Tigers, Go Cade Klubnik!!!!

I think i stumbled upon the reason why Cade wasnt utilized as much last year while youtube surfing. I saw an interview where he talked about his back up playing QB his senior year bc cade had a significant shoulder injury on his throwing arm. Cade said it was a blessing bc his back up got recruited and he was already Clemson bound. I think behind the scenes Dabo was worried about rushing him out there.

Great video. A couple of guys I think can be huge for Clemson this year. Adam Randall and Xavier Thomas. These guys are dudes and are healthy. I think they both could be stars on this team. I also do not see Swinney going anywhere. This is his team and program he built. Looking forward to this season.

Words do not exist in the English language that can accurately describe what a POS QB we have had the past 2 years. Blake gets it. It was always DJ…always.

BTW, if receivers stay healthy...

.... I suspect the slot receiver will lead the team in receptions, with the TE being 2nd. The WRs will get more TDs and maybe more yards.

If Collins stays healthy, look for him to have a monster year.

People like those two, I don't pay any attention to what they have to say about our FB program or our players. Folks that aren't around our FB a lot, they really don't have a clue just as these two don't, they're just after the clicks!!!!
