So far there only W against a team with a winning record is Tulsa (3-1). Other 3 wins are against Bowling Green (1-3), Oklahoma (2-2), and Rutgers (2-3). Pretty whack to be ranked #2. Hope we see them in the national semi's. They still got Michigan at the end of the season. One of those 2 will be in the top 4.

It seems like too many media people are on the Big 10. Not as many as the mighty SEC where teams are given 2 losses and still ranked number 4 at the end of the season.
The team that we beat them with in the Orange Bowl with was not as good as this team. I just don't understand how OSU seems to play sh*t team every week and seem to have next to no road games.
Urban Meyers may not be as bad as scum as Petrino but he is not all that far behind and OSU always gets overrated. It must take a lost of pressure off knowing that it doesn't matter if you beat SW Ohio Tech 13-10 or 58-0 that you will go up in the rankings.
I would love to see OSU schedule a home and away against any Top 10 team from the ACC, SEC.or Big 12. I don't believe in the Big 12 where no teams ever play defense and the PAC 10 but maybe Washington is for real this year.

Attacking Meyers character? I've yet to hear anything specific and always thought he was a decent person. What did I miss?

The fact that he hid Hernandez's PCP binges and swept his Miami murders under the rug. He "medically retired" when all that crap about Cam started coming out at Auburn but reinvented himself and came back when Cam went pro.

It is about a lot more than just the arrests.
These is minor compared other things but I hate the way the scumbag told Utah that he was not taking the job at UF before his bowl game and assured everyone he would be there just to quit within a week. I am sorry but that is complete lack of character. He should of at least said he would think about other offers after the season is over but don't come out and lie to the University, the payers, the staff, and everyone else.
He literally seemed to be running more of a penitentiary at UF than a football team and went to OSU which has the habit of looking the other way when coaches break the rules.
It is easier to win when you dont play by the same rules as most other coaches.
At the college level, it is about morning than just winning. It is about winning and doing it the right way bet is easier to do it when you think the rules don't apply to you.
ALso, when did how badly you beat some horrible team determine how good you are. Everyone was all over Louisville because they were averaging nearly 70 points a game and left Jackson in the game whn they were aheadd by 50 + points.
It is winning the close games against top tier teams that matters but OSU really plays bad teams over and over and it seems like they have 10 home games a year.

Well they did have a game against Oklahoma (preseason top 5). Have also had other big matchups outside conference in the past (Miami, SoCal, etc)

@tigerdave2you ACTUALLY cited a 'preseason top 5' ranking AND cited the fact they have played teams from past seasons...
... for being number 2 THIS SEASON?!?!

Apparently your skirt is impeding your reading comprehension.
Previous poster mentioned he'd "love to see OSU schedule a home and away against any Top 10 team from the ACC, SEC.or Big 12". Well, Oklahoma was certainly that team. And Ohio State has had a few quality out-of-conference games over the years.
I made no statement that they deserve to be ranked higher than us this year Nancy.

Frankly, OSU's schedule is tougher than Clemson's this year. Doesn't happen like that very often but have no problem with them being ranked higher. Honestly think they would be tougher than Bama this year w a proven QB.

Mighty Big Ten?

Without any bias, you should have realized that, in the past years, Big Ten has been belittled not any less than ACC. The media had been high on SEC, Pac-12 and Big 12. Big Ten and ACC usually competed for the 5th. Not to long back, Michigan wasn't good, Wisconsin wasn't good, Nebraska wasn't good, Iowa was good sometimes. Basically, Big Ten was all about Michigan State and Ohio State.
If anything, it's because it's Ohio State.

I don't care about the rankings this early in the season. If we keep winning, we are in the 4. Thats all that matters.

Ohio St fan started talking to me today when
Oct 3, 2016, 1:44 AM

he saw my Clemson shirt and hat. He was sporting his Ohio St shirt and hat as well.
He was so quick to tell me how this years team was better than their team that won the natty a few years ago, and how JT Barrett is just a general on the field and they would steam roll everyone on their schedule including Michigan. Blah, Blah, Blah.
He then says, boy y'all barely squeaked out the win last night. To which I replied, yeah, big difference in L'ville vs Rutgers. I didn't think Rutgers had a team anymore.
Told him we'll see him in the Natty if he thinks they're that good.

We are better than in the 4, we should be in the top 2 as long as we win out. Unless FSU falls apart comppletely, they willbe favored against us in Talahassee and they have loads of talent.
At this point, I am worried about Boston College that does have the number 1 Defense in the nation yet again. Yes I know thy played Wagner and Buffalo but that is still hard to do.
We cant take any games for granted and a unusual Friday night game after a huge win at home is never easy.
One game at a time.

Me too. I don't get the OSU hate here. I live among the Buckeyes, they have been nothing but respectful to me and Clemson. They actually like to watch Clemson on TV, many want me to bring them to a Clemson home game to experience Death Valley. They schedule years in advance like we do, and scheduling a home and home with Oklahoma is not a coward's way. They don't like the SEC, and HATE Michigan. I have no problem with OSU. In fact I am amazed at how such a big state can be so solidly behind one team. That is unique in America. They have money, they have support, they have history. They have my respect.
