Greenville Area Paint/Auto Body Recommendations

Hoping someone familiar with shops in the area might be able to help me out.

I’m looking to buy a car (private seller) in the Greenville area and drove out to take a look at it today (about two hours away for me). Like the car (2022 Mazda CX-9), but it has some slight damage (paint scuffing across the hood and top of front fender/edge of hood) caused by a large rubber hose that feel out of a truck on the highway.

Not sure why the driver didn’t have it fixed (high deductible maybe)..but they do have it priced lower to account for the damage.

Before I buy it, I would like to have someone with experience take a look and let me know whether this is simply something that can be ‘buffed’ out or if more extensive/expensive. I’m willing to pay a grand or two to fix it, but want to see if this is even feasible.

Anyone know of any shops/folks in the area they would recommend and/or that might make a house call to the sellers house/work to take a look (with the sellers permission of course)? I likely won’t have it fixed in the area but would be willing to pay a fair consultation.house call fee.

Thanks!

Johnson Auto Body Repair near Cherrydale.

Small shop but great work and very reasonable prices. We have taken 2 of our cars there and would not hesitate to go back.

Actually, I had an old white '98 Camry before I got my present gray 2018 Camry about a year and a half ago. The paint job on the old '98 was fading and I didn't want to spend a lot on it, so I took it to Maaco for a sand down and repaint of the same white color for about $500 and it looked good.

Sadly, the old '98 was wrecked and totaled March of last year. I had just gotten a brake job, transmission flush, and oil change a couple of weeks before the wreck and it was still running great with 224k miles on it. I like the newer 2018, but not the car payments and higher taxes and insurance. Before last year, I hadn't had a car payment since the 90s.

I know a place that can make that vehicle look like new but it will cost you at least $4500. And you would have to take it to them. For Appx $400 a year, they will keep it looking like new. You will never have to wax it or polish it.
