Had a great time, always enjoy winning against a ranked opponent and especially when it’s the Tarholes. BUT…. If Dabo has any aspirations of seeing the playoffs again, or beating UGA, he has to get some speed, athleticism, and talent, and quick on offense. Riley has performed a small miracle with what he has to work with.
Go Tigers! Beat the Coots!

Don’t know what to tell you Bill. All I can say is the offense is hapless. They need some WRs and OL. Cade needs to gain weight and improve. He still looks awkward running. He makes some good throws, then makes some awful throws and decisions. Hope the light comes on in year 3.

"Hope the light comes on in year 3"? If this is in reference to the amount of time Cade has been starting QB for Clemson, he is still in his first year

He’s doing more with less than any coordinator in CFB he’s just taken down two Top 20 teams in two weeks

Surely you’re joking.
He has multiple five star players and many four star players to work with. He has one of the most talented offenses in the country. He should be having high level success. That’s why he’s the highest paid offensive coordinator in the country.

I don’t know, Judge. While I think the “more with less” comment is an exaggeration, I genuinely don’t think this unit is one of the most talented offenses in college football. I’m not even sure it’s top 15.
When I see recent “talented” 4 star recruits like Ladson, Ngata, Williams all largely flame out, here and elsewhere, I think we need to not take such ultimate stock in the talent of our highly rated recruits based on stars. I still believe DJU was a bad fit for Clemson and he declined while being here, but I’m not seeing anything from him this year that validates 5* talent. Cade’s ceiling is still a question mark for me based on his decision making. Shipley and Mafah are good college RBs but would anyone outside of Clemson fans consider them top level talent?
Honest question, not at all trying to troll… Do we have more than 3 players on offense who would start on the top 8 CFP ranked teams? Maybe a few more than that on Mizzou or Louisville (#9 & #10) but I think we’re more in the good not great category when it comes to talent.
I believe our talent is sufficient to win the ACC. And our coaching adjustments on offense this season, while appreciated, came too late. But we are no longer elite talent.

The OL ... is not "most talented". Nor are receivers.

The wr room is nowhere near where it needs to be. Thankfully we got two studs coming in.
Really have to increase the size of that 0L room. Given injuries, guys that don’t work out, etc. etc. statistically we don’t give ourselves a lot of insurance there

……????. Yes… Guys that don’t work out is a constant at all positions
There’s a long list of guys on the OL who never reach the potential….or hoped potential. Historically, it’s the hardest position group to project. And that’s true at all schools. We are the only school in our peer group that carries that small of an OL group. Sure we have a few guys here and there that exceed expectations given their high school ranking, but we have many who turn out to be exactly what their ranking said they would be.
Given that we have rarely been elite at that position, something should change. We are too good of a school not to have an elite OL room. We give ourselves very little margin for error with a room that small

A few takeaways from where I was sitting

1. Klubnik still skies alot of throws. Whether that's mechanics or what, dunno. Gonna get someone killed throwing those rib spreaders tho.
2. Shipley has the yips - turnovers are killing his stock. Sure he had a couple of good runs. But fumbles ... man.
2.5 Stellato's being asked to be a vertical threat in a slash/gash body. He does okay but its not his strength. Randall had a good night. They dont work Brown into the mix enough. WRs are very not great. But adequate. Briningstool will play on Sundays.
3. The DBs did a solid job shutting their #9 stud down.
4. The defense is ready to win alot of games whenever the offense can join them.
5. I dont know ebough about linemen's jobs to say whether the O line is good or bad. Clemson rushed for a lot of yards so to me that's a good job.
6. Clemson could win easily the ACC next season but they're not going to stand up to the big boys in the round of 12.

Tyler Brown had big separation on that miss by Cade. He would have walked in. Painful…. Your last statement about the playoffs, only missing a star WR. Maybe I’m wrong. But I see a lot of talent on one side of the ball and not so much on the other. Good thing it can be fixed literally over an off-season. Just gotta pull the trigger.
