Don’t kill me but I actually think he is and will be a good coordinator. I do think he’s missing one aspect of it though. He needs to have some fire. Venables was great and part of that was his intensity. It rubbed off and the players and they played with the same intensity. If Goodwin had that I believe the defense would be playing better. Just my opinion.

Goodwin is responsible for LBs. Carter and Trotter have talent, were considered 1st rounders. They can't cover, can't pressure the QB, can't stop the run, can't tackle.... and Goodwin is responsible. I said years ago, better love on BV. Dabo made a home run on BV. He majorly whiffed on Goodwin.

He’s good but he needs more fire (ie passion). You realize that’s a character trait and not something you can learn?
I can’t stand to watch Goodwin in press conferences. He sounds like a scared (you know what)
It’s time for our experiment with him to be over with.

You are exactly correct...
Goodwin has a good defensive mind, but players
Respond to energy and drive inwhich Goodwin has none
Of???
Not the kind of leader that we need on defense 😒
