Good news of today

1) Big Weigh-In Results were phenomenal. So many guys with big weight transformations, but the following impressed me the most:

- Peter Woods: 316 lbs from 300
- Cade K.: 205 lbs from 195
- Vic Burley: 318 lbs from 300
- Dee Crayton: 225 lbs from 210
- Jarvis Greene (RB): 206 lbs from 185!!
- Dietrick Pennington: 338 lbs from 355

And Zack Owens added 1 lb to become 376 lbs from 375. I think he needed that.

The D-Line unit really did well this off-season.

2) First Take Stephen A. And Paul Finebaum

Got a lot of praise for Clemson-related topics today by these 2. Good to hear what Stephen A. said about Trevor.

It was also great to hear Finebaum to get up on camera and say that we’re a perfect fit for the SEC. Apparently we need some type of help getting out of this conference. Regardless if Paul was praising Clemson or not, which I don’t think he was because he’s a snake, he made sure to note that Clemson was the epicenter of the ACC and reminded everyone.

Can’t stand Stephen A. but those words were encouraging and glad he is gaining respect from the media.

Finebaum has never struck me as intelligent but he hit the nail on the head today!

Thanks for sharing!

These are the same talking heads that were calling Trevor a bust after his first year. Such low life. They are just praying for clicks, whatever they think they need to say.

Yes mostly, but the theme with Clemson seems to be to try and not talk about them. And it seems like the Riley hire has put a scare in people again. So Paul seems to have gained his respect back for Dabo. Like anyone cares.

But still, it was a good word put in for us.

"5th place ALABAMA, 4th place ALABAMA, 3rd place ...

ALABAMA, 2ND place ALABAMA, 1ST place ALABAMA." Stephen A's top five.

Clemson 44-16 Alabama (Jan 7, 2019)

It wasn't that close. Dabo called late timeouts to allow his starting defense back in the game then called another time out to let them leave with applause.

CT88's granny would describe Stephen A's comments today: 'A burnt hen stays away from the fire.'

If Owens doesn’t get to 350 or less

He will never play a meaningful snap for us… we don’t want him gaining any weight.

He was over 400 when he arrived. Still a ways to go though.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

Yeah he’s put in a lot of work, but those dudes like him always worry me though… some of those big dudes just can’t cut weight. He’s off to a good start though.

I wonder what college rules are for Mounjaro/Ozempic?

weight loss drugs. These big boys can lose 15-20% of their body weight in the off-season easily with help from pharmaceuticals. Do not know if it's legal for college trainers to provide, but a personal doctor could prescribe.

No rules I would imagine but those drugs cause weight loss, not fat loss and make you a lot weaker because of that, it’s actually pretty catastrophic for athletes. Taking Ozempic without knowing that the weight loss they're experiencing is coming from a GIANT percentage of bone mass loss, muscle mass loss, and several other things that support METABOLIC HEALTH— your body's ability to burn calories and keep a nice body composition— hence setting themselves up not only to be FATTER in the future but increasing all sorts of risks for mortality in the later stages of life— for those that do not know, your musculoskeletal sheer size, its structure, its strength, go hand in hand with cardiovascular health as a primary health marker…. Which is why we have world class trainers to know stuff like this.

To put it simply, it's when you're frail that you fall, break a hip and die within a year…. Thought it was an interesting point you brought up so I did some checking on it, and it makes total sense.

Cheers! Go Tigers, beat Duke!!!
