Anytime friends and family are brought up you get the sob story of Nolan and Cole Turner as the reason Dabo engages in the friends and family structure. Not that anything is wrong with that but it's always front and center when discussed.

It is a sad story, but I don't agree with either of them being on the team. Nolan became a serviceable defensive back in his final season, but he wasn't drafted and is now completely out of football, AFAIK. Cole is injured and other a single flash play last year has really do nothing else. Neither of those kids would be playing on a team like Clemson without the personal connection. Just like all the Alabama backyard bbq friends who are now our coaches.

I wonder if Veneables (player) not transfering to Oklahoma is due to Brent not really liking the image of a friends and family plan at OU. I always remembered and interview he did while he was at Clemson where he stated he would do some things different if he were a head coach.
