Yes, she is still recovering and will be a long time. I wouldn’t have been surprised to see him not on the chart, but obviously Swinney is looking at it differently. After all, what happened was an accident based on a poor decision to drive that fast but an accident nonetheless.

115 MPH- 60 miles over the speed limit- is not an accident.

Oh, so he was found guilty in court of attempted murder or did he not mean to hit the mail truck?

He was reckless and has probably hurt someone for life. Don't know what Dabo did, but if Davis is playing Saturday, then the punishment is not nearly enough, IMHO. How can Tiger fans poke fun at other programs when ours allows the same kind of crap?

and such that Davis went through for this? Apparently you know all the facts and have made a decsion based on that, so please let us know?
Or did you do like most people do these days: read a news story and now you're a f*cking expert on the situation?

I'm no expert, nor do I know all the facts. Of course, neither do you. Just wondering what possible punishment he could have received.

and he was arrested on that basis, but there is the matter of intent as it pertains to rulings such as these. It’s pretty black and white. It’s not for the court of public opinion to decide what is and isn’t an appropriate punishment, but Dabo has dealt with issues in the past with swift hand. This would be no exception.

So you know none of the facts yet are somehow able to pass judgement and determine the TBD punishment is insufficient. GTFO and over yourself. BTW was this the first bit of trouble Davis has seen while at Clemson?

What if Fred had done this while at home and had the same outcome- would you hold him to the same standards? The pro players do it all the time and I am guessing they are not dropped or suspended by the coach. I am sure that Dabo has doled out punishment and most likely more punishment will come. If I am not wrong- and I have been wrong in the past- but even speeding 50 plus miles per hour- in the state of South Carolina is still a misdemeanor- I think other than high fines, loss if DL- the legal aspects to deal with and the high insurance- jail time is not in the future.

I think when you’re listed as a starter it means your better than the other guys and will be the first guy on the field in that position. I think.

I think that he should be suspended for the game but maybe Dabo is going to wait on that part of the punishment. Is it fair for his teammates to be punished by not having him on the field? I have to think that he will serve a suspension, but there could be a "we are still gathering all of the facts" moment to push it to a less significant game.

Dabo had no problem sending home Cain (one of our top WR's) Ammon Lakip and Jay Jay McCullough from our first ever playoff game. If a suspension is warranted, it will happen, if not, it won't--that's all for Dabo to decide and he's been nothing but consistent with that no matter who the player is or what opponent we are playing--who we are playing doesn't matter to Dabo.

Good point. And in all of this discussion about suspensions and punishments, someone else has been badly hurt. Hope and pray this person recovers completely. And I wish Fred Davis the best, regardless the outcome.

Fred’s job is to beat Georgia, college athletes are no longer amateur athletes ,so why would anyone care what he does as long as he does his job. Just dock him 20% pay
