Iāll take the bait! Your post suggests that you may not be familiar with the game. You can win or lose to anyone in baseball by a small or large margin. One can simply research wins and loses of NCAA and MLB teams. While it is a shocker, it happens to everyone every year. However, baseball is being led by Bakich, a mentee of legendary coach Jack Legette, and over achieved in year one.
Furthermore, your post suggest animosity towards many being displeased with basketball as you stated āTiger grit.ā Basketball is in a different category currently because context matters. Brownell is not a legendary coach nor has he led a team to an elite 8 like Bakich when he led Michigan to the CWS, but that is not the point. Brownell has had 14 years to build a program. His tenure is best characterized as inconsistent at best. Bakich won the ACC and hosted a regional in year one. I am an avid supporter of basketball and baseball, but your argument doesnāt seem logical. I hope Tiger basketball wins out and has a successful run in the ACC and NCAA tournament. Brownell has received ample time to build his program.

I agree with you itās only year 2 and I guess we all felt like thereās no way to replicate that sort of performance back to back years, but Iāve never seen clemson get beat 17-0 or whatever it was 8th inning. Ive gone to games most of my life and never seen a beaten like that from a lower tier team. Definitely a humbling moment and I guess a complete surprise given we are ranked #9. So to the gentleman above a 17-0 whoopin by kennasaw is a bit different than a 4-0 LsU loss to Louisville

We came out flat it happens. We are fine. LSU loss sorry tonight and they are the defending champs. Oh lville is 1-4 record in the year so easy.

It seems to me that you only come in here after we lose a game in any sport to complain.

Ugly loss, but not going to get the pitchfork out yet against the coach who was responsible for 1 of 3 (?) of our ACC titles last year (hint: neither football or basketball (obviously) were one of the others)

And football actually was 1 of the 4:
football, baseball, women's golf, men's outdoor track & field

Good call on track and field, I forgot about that one - but I think you mean soccer and not football right? We were left out of the ACC title game last year (FSU won).

Ohh, I thought you meant last academic year. That's how I tend to think of sports years. But yes, if we're talking literally just 2023 you'd be correct. So swap the soccer conference title from fall of 2023 for the football ACC championship in '22.

This post shows you know absolutely nothing about baseball ā¦ go back and look at the starting lineup and weekend starters of last years team early in the season and compare that to the team at the end and you will get my pointā¦ just for a quick example Amick was let even a starter until after the scar series and hit a million HRs. We havenāt even seen Gordon or Darden pitch yet and other guys will step up and once the lineup and rotation works itself out we will be fineā¦

Stony Brook beat LSU 5-2 __________ Louisville lost to St Bonaventure 4-3
